Do you prefer SA1 or SA2 and why?
>>

Neither, trans "people" don't deserve rights...

1
I like 1's Sonic stages and pacing more. More open ended, can just play through a campaign as you want. Characters played better too, overall. Amy is clunky and Big's camera is fucked but the others are fun enough.
2 has style out the ass, and the chao garden is classic. Otherwise the treasure and mech stages aren't very fun and being forced into them after fast paced Sonic/Shadow stages constantly is deflating.

I prefer playing Sonic 06.

sa2
sa1 was too janky
>>
>>739298542
Chao garden was the shit
I don't remember anything else from these games
>>
>>739298542
I prefer SA2 because I prefer the level design. It's more linear but it flows better, and the ranking system and extra missions are way better than the A B and C shit SA1 did. Only real flaw is the shitty emerald radar which I unashamedly use mods to fix
Love both though

>Only real flaw is the shitty emerald radar
absolute retard take
especially after praising the more linear design AND ranking/mission system. doing one at a time DIRECTLY plays into the scoring and ranking. it isnt even difficult to traverse a level quickly and start getting pings.

i will never understand why people have this bizarre, ADAMANT mental roadblock about needing all of the emeralds tracked at once instead of just following it one by one.

Treasure hunting stages are not speed stages, they are designed completely differently and are played completely differently. There's nothing worse than finding out that you've been walking past a shard a shitload because it was buried in a room you've walked through 17 times and that there as literally no way to tell because it wasn't its turn to be found. It's stupid and the stages are made infinitely more enjoyable by fixing the radar
>>
>>739298542
I used to think SA1 was better but after coming back years later to get all 180 emblems, I now appreciate SA2 much more. The arcadey score attack style of game is much more satisfying to me than the more wide open exploration of SA1.
>>
>>739302721
why did you walk through an area 17 times while looking for a single emerald? absolute skill issue right there, retard.

the stages arent that big, and they are very easy to traverse. personally i hate the pyramid ones the most because they're so much more restrictive, but you still just zoom through the halls until it starts beeping. hot/cold is not a difficult game. sure the first couple of times in the level you take a little longer figuring out the lay of the land, how things connect, where the shortcuts, buttons, and rockets are, but once you're going for A ranks, its fucking easy to get around and figure out. you're literally just a salty bitch, angry at your own ineptitude at playing hot/cold with a single object.
>>
>>739303157
Autist incapable of detecting hyperbole to illustrate a point.
The levels are designed non-linearly, so making the emerald radar linear is arbitrary and asinine. It's a needless change that makes the game worse, and your entire argument is "it's not that bad just memorise the stage lmao" without actually saying what it improved over the system laid out in SA1.
>>
There were like 3 good levels in SA2.

Well, definitely not those versions of the games, I prefer SA1 for the freedom (can spindash up walls and go all over the place for the most part) and atmosphere, it's cozy. I don't really feel the same way with SA2 except for the Dreamcast version of the Chao Gardens.
>>
>>739298542
Sexual Assault 2 was just better
>>
>>739298542
I prefer the general tone of SA1 because it's closer to the classic games which I prefer, and I like the hub worlds, but SA2's Chao Garden is much better and it gives it much more replay value, also multi-player is fun in SA2 Battle.
>>
>>739302721
Personally, I think the SA1 treasure hunts are just boring. Only 1 emerald radar is a bit obnoxious sure, but having access to all 3 at once kind of trivialises the levels. If anything, I think SA2's major issue is the hint system is only really useful to players who already know their way around a stage. The newbie who needs more hand holding, ie the vast majority of players, is shit out of luck if they get some of the more out of the way emeralds.
>>
>>739303714
you're forced to engage with the level. and yes, memorizing the level the key to getting a good score for ANY of the modes. "i should only ever need to walk this sandbox end to end once" is a pathetic gripe. did you throw a tantrum about the pacer test in gym class too? the score system itself is an improvement over sa1. points are related to time and hints used. level size and design is better. there is literally nothing wrong with focusing on one thing at a time. your entire argument lacks a real reason for why it is in any way "bad". all you're actually tell me is that you have mental and skill issues.

Sonic Adventure 2 is the best game of all games of all times. Sonic Adventure is the second best game ever made though!
>>
>>739299047
there was a psp port? holy crap
>>
>>739298542
SA1
I love both but I think 1 has stronger stages and gameplay for all the characters
>>
they pretty much go together but the mech levels in 2 sucked, but 2 has rouge who I jacked off to hundreds of thousands of times.
>>
>>739308032
I don't know how to get A ranks in the mech levels

score.

but not during death chamber right
>>

The first one is still the better game even though Shadow is a great character and even though the Sonic & Shadow levels are better than the levels from the first game. Problem is Sonic and Shadow are like a third of the game.

yeah it was annoying but it worked out in the end

First game also had a better chao garden. I do not remember it being as fun in the second game. Chaos was also a much more memorable villain despite him not doing much.
>>
if you colossal faggots love chao garden so much, go play "bobo bay" on steam. its literally standalone chao garden.
>>
>>739298542
SA2, I like Shadow and how they explore the chaos emeralds a bit more.

I prefer SA1 to SA2 on its sort of overall vibe.
Although there's a lot of stuff I do like about how SA2 does things, I think I like having a Hard Mode layout is better than having time and score goals as the additional challenge.
Or things like find the Lost Chao, even if the idea wasn't used very well and was mostly
>Find Mystic Melody for this character and then you just win this mission :)
>>
>>739298542
I like SA1s adventure stages, but the actual levels are worse than SA2s. SA2 has the advantage of not needing levels to work for multiple different characters. Which means every character gets a level suited for their playstyle specifically.
SA2 also has the better chao garden, by like a mile.
>>
>>739311362
The chao garden was fun because it was a diversion from the main game and had different types of chao to collect. Also funny how I clearly triggered you with my post yet you didn't reply to it.
>>
>>739310895
Mad space is the only truly bad treasure hunter stage
>>
>>739311273
idk. the chao garden in 2 was much easier to learn and had more minigames

but chaos is cool. wish his boss fights were better like knuckles or chaos 6
>>
>>739311362
I am. It's okay, but the bobos being restricted to two food a day is kind of annoying when it clearly wants you to put all your eggs in one basket.
>>
>chao garden mentioned 5 times
>"heh, it was MY comment, and i clearly TRIGGERED you"
what causes this kind of narcissistic brainrot? is it sonic? is it 4chan?
>>
>>739298542
2 is better overall I hated the overworld in 1 it wasn't fun to navigate. With 2 ya get all that good multiplayer and the superior chaoitsm garden
>>
>>739312393
Pretty sure it's the fact that you ARE clearly mad at him in particular based off this passive aggressive reply not appending the post you're talking about like there's some kind of extrinsic benefit to it.

Why no recent rerelease? It's like sega hates money
>>
>>739315163
It's kind of missed on people that aren't totally aware but SA1 and 2 have fairly large modding scenes, and not fucking those over but trying to push people onto newer re-releases could run the risk of being a PR disaster.
Especially if they do some genuinely retarded shit like putting Denuvo in fucking DREAMCAST GAMES THAT CAME OUT 20 FUCKING YEARS AGO.
