Bubsy 4D would have done a lot better if they didn't let people forget about it. If they had waited until THIS Summer Game Fest to announce it, and released it the same day, it would have sold huge numbers.
The novelty wouldn't have worn off before the game even came out.
But they made a really fucking stupid marketing mistake on the faulty assumption that word of mouth and anticipation mean shit these days, and a decent platformer is underperforming because of it.
