calling that abomination of a final fight a 9/10 is generous, even for an OoTroon.
>>
>>739528652
First three areas are a 7/10. First three areas of Adult Link are 10/10. Then it dips down to an 8/10 for the rest of the game.

This trend of 30+ year olds calling things unc has to be one of the worst things that's ever happened to this website, unbelievably fucking embarassing

Cute initialism, about as long as your dick I imagine

That can really apply to literally every Resident Evil game.

time for bed unc
>>
The best part of OOT is from the forest dungeon right up to and including the desert dungeon though
>>
>>739528652
Why the fuck seriously thinks the Deku Tree is better than the point where you're freely time traveling? It pretty much keeps improving up until you're halfway through.
>>
>>739528652
The only unfun dungeons in the game are Jabu-Jabu and Water Temple. Ganon’s Castle is fun because you get to fight Iron Knuckles.
>>
The adult Link part of the game is way better than the young Link part though

that's because it didn't start and end as aLTTP

This

Jabu is a top 5 dungeon, whats your angle there. You prefer generic dungeons that are all similar, at least that one is creative in concept, visuals and functionally well-made.

>aLTTP
That has an awfully restrictive beginning though.

Can we all just agree that Spirit Temple has the worst boss fight?
>>
>>739532017
Do you mean the tutorial?
Because after that you can explore 85% of the map. Sure you might not be able to get the treasure at every spot, but you can go there.

spirit > forest > shadow > water > fire
this is objectively correct.
>>
>>739528652
the first parts are the most boring though
it starts off at 7/10 but after becoming adult 10/10
>>
>>739531160
>>739531876
>>739532264
wrong, the young link portion feels like an adventure, and the dungeons are part of the world (inside the deku tree, a cave, inside a fish) instead of being generic ''temples''
I stopped playing this game at adult link because all the wonder was gone
>>
>>739528652
I think that ocarina of time is seriously overrated because of all the middle aged white nerds on the internet and in the media. Same with Crono Trigger. They're both fine games but certainly not ThE bEsT eVaR and they've both been surpassed a long time ago by more modern games.
>>
>>739528652
It peaks at forest temple.
>>
>>739528652
???
>forest temple kino
>water temple kino
>spirit temple kino
>gerudo fortress kino
>kino final battle
oh yes, those totally can't compete with the magnificence of, uh... the great deku tree, and... uhh......... dodongo's cavern?
>>

>They're both fine games but certainly not ThE bEsT eVaR
Fair enough.
>and they've both been surpassed a long time ago by more modern games.
But which ones? And in what way? Plenty have surpassed them in graphical power. But I wouldn't say better tone, gameplay, characters and so on. Especially modern games which have so much dialogue and cutscene filler. I'm not trying to defend them. Just in general, a lot of older games tend to be better than newer ones in flow and design. Dragon Quest VIII and Muramasa are really the last games I thought were good at these things. Before modern graphics and committee development made games a slog.
>>
>>739532597
>the great deku tree, and... uhh......... dodongo's cavern?
yeah because that's all there is to the first half of the game, let's ignore the story, the characters and all the other areas you visit, retard
>>
>>739534475
I remember them all, and the idea that OoT gets "progressively worse" is mind-numbingly stupid
>>
>>739532298
I like the entire game but I do agree the adult part feels a bit phoned in compared to the child part, the child part feels very cohesive and like you're actually progressing through a story, while in the adult part it feels like the dungeons are just there and there's not much in the way of a plot or worldbuilding connecting them.
>>
>>739534598
>>739534598
>the dungeons are just there and there's not much in the way of a plot or worldbuilding connecting them
That's because it's deliberately done like that to allow it to be more exploration focused and freeform.
>>

>while in the adult part it feels like the dungeons are just there and there's not much in the way of a plot or worldbuilding connecting them.
You mean...all those cutscenes and NPCs that you interact with? Or did you just skip them? The thing that makes the adult segments good is you can do them out of order and you find the story through exploration. While the child segments are rather railroaded and cutscene driven by comparison. But the adult segments have just as much story, if you actually look for it.

I like BotW but I wouldn't even disagree. The music and some of the mid game areas make the game a real chore to keep playing. Went from a 10/10 to a 7/10 by the end. And then a 5/10 if you try to replay it.
>>
>>739528652
And that’s exactly why Nintendo is remaking it.
>>
>>739528652
it also aged like milk.
>>
>>739528652
it starts as a 7, it becomes an 8 in the fire temple, it falls back to a 7 by the end, this game is a 7/10

The Shadow Temple literally starts you off with a wall talking about Hyrule's hidden history and before that, the implications with the Bottom of the Well and the man who used to live there in the past. It's there if you look for it.
