I've been thinking on how a good magic system would work but I haven't settled on anything concrete yet. I would definitely want to include gestures à la Arx Fatalis, maybe having to emulate hand movements like drawing symbols in the air by trailing keys on a keyboard and/or typing out some words.I would like that vulnerable but powerful feel and include some cantrip-like stuff to help you disengage and maybe even win in melee.

lightning is the coolest element for spells.if you get a choice of element I always pick air and lightning, you get to go fast and you get the krakow blast shit.
