This might be a hot take but I don't think sorcerers actually add much to the setting, and the way they're utilized and the magic system is very inconsistent. Could have just replaced them with like the Catholic Church who monopolizes and withholds all information regarding the supernatural.The setting would be much more interesting if it was mostly normal people and witchers having to deal with spooky monsters and creepy curses that are barely understood. It would also help sell Ciri as the supposed chosen one if she was the only character who actually had powers.
