To gamify the concept beyond the 4chan post would mean creating something here most people wouldn't like, as it would be a randomly generated friendslop roguelite wherein you and four others need to make your way from a 'level entrance' to the end, wherein you'd make it to a safe level where you can buy new items (or people can join/leave).

Sometimes it would tempt me by throwing in a familiar place like the mall or the school but they'd still be surrounded by the infinite townhouse hell. I think I could definitely make a decent enough retro first person Tony Hawk's American Nightmare, this is pretty textbook procedural generation, but I dont think I could make it actually scary.

I've been to the mirror world before, it's not very nice at all and you can't enter any buildings, details in the world seem distorted if not crudely shapen if they're not in some conjunctional relationship with with the normal world's reflection in some manner. He is absolutely correct about not looking into the eyes of your inverse reflection as well. Doing so causes an inversion of perception where you become the thing looking into your eyes rather than what is looking out of them. I cannot describe this feeling other than using vague semantics like being turned inside out.
