One thing I came to dislike in recent games is how they make backgrounds a 1:1 representation of the map. It looks great at first with the zoom effect but sometimes the result is weird because the grid is supposed to be an abstract representation of the battlefield. It's very noticeable in indoors map where even 1 tile corridors become wide empty spaces.

Edelgard is an oddity to me. I recognize the fact that she has very little sex appeal and natural beauty, and yet, for some reason whenever I go though her arts I sometimes find myself becoming strangely captivated by her. A class like Malig Knight realistically should just not exist, and there's a reason why Kaga was very careful with how he handled mage knights, and they never had great bulk like you see in their modern counterpart Dark Knight.

I messed up the damage math because of nosferatu healing but it's ok I was able to get the kill next turn. this map wasn't too hard since the sand made it easy to take enemies one at a time. hopefully it doesn't get too much harder. I think I will try to save paralogue 3 for later and go on to the next chapter. I can get sallya in it and then after that I can get anna from paralogue 4. one unexpected consequence of my "no duplicate weapons" limitation that I wasn't expecting is that it's really limiting my ability to heal. the only way to grind up from E staff is with heal and I only have one to pass around.
