There's one thing Gothic 3 did better than 1 and 2, and it's making food and potions heal a percentage rather than flat values. I'm not a gothic gamer. I have 0 knowledge of this franchise or its userbase. But I've watch a few people play this game and I'm genuinely confused on why they are struggling with the lockpicking. It seems pretty simple in design. Kind of just trial and error to figure out the correct moves and you can savescum it to save lockpicks. Why are people crying about it this much?

Gothic 1/2 was pretty tough on your hardware but only if you tried to run it with all your LODs set to max. It wasn't really that big of a deal otherwise. G2 had F keys bound to LOD presets specifically, so you could toggle between draw distances. (f1-f4 iirc).

When it first came out, my PC could barely run it, afterwards I lost interest and once I eventually returned to the series after a decade or so, I realized how buttfuckingly ugly G3 is. Seriously, Gothic 2 looks prettier, because it's being held up by a well-done artstyle.
