Which camp is the best for two hander + magic? I know the templars are kind of oriented towards that, but I've also read around that picking them actually locks you into worse magic while picking actual mages still leaves you enough LP to train with two handers.

Nothing abnormal about that—it's literally what every guide and thread recommends. But I also try to get the most out of a game that captures my attention, so I'm still plugging away and chapter 2 is still a ways off for me.Here's the thing.I am trying to solve my problems as a mage, meaning I've trained once in 1H out of pure necessity, and have avoided STR because I want to max out mage, mana, and any utility skills that would be nice to have. I'm also avoiding sleeping for various reasons. My game plan here was to do the rounds every day with the various merchants who stock up on anything +mana. Potions, water, herbs. Hopefully by the time I committed to chapter 2+ and began devoting all of those mana regen items to the hideous damage sink enemies that will be coming later, I would have enough. It's about a 300 ore per day prospect. Hell, I need 15+ water per day just to deal with enemies that can't reasonably be fought with melee.There's also things to buy. I still haven't bought the heal rune because it's too damn expensive. There are + stat rings sold by the water mage guy that I eventually want.
