I played all the Ryza games and the new open world one (I don't even remember the name it was so forgettable) and they were ALL dogshit. They have probably the most elaborate crafting in vidya, you gather materials with randomized properties (not unlike loot drops in Diablo or Nioh), then combine them in some sort of elaborate mini-game (different per sub-series) to make items and equipment. Unlike other JRPG's grinding does nothing, you can only get stronger through crafting. Status effects, ailments, debuffs, stun/stagger all work on bosses, so it's possible to theory craft some really elaborate end game strats. Gotta see gameplay and alchemy system first. Yumia was a wash, but I still enjoyed the demo. I'm waiting for it to go on sale in like three years and then I'll play it. I'm not paying full price for it. I know Yumia wasn't very popular, heard the alchemy system was too streamlined and basic so people got mad and combat was boring.
