No, it peaked one generation later. Honestly, it's stupid to argue about. 4th gen was good, 5th gen was good, 6th gen was good. Everything since has been complete dogshit, it's still unimaginable to me that 1985-2005 is the same span of time as 2006-2026 when one contains almost every game on my top 100 list, and the other has about 3 titles.
