I think adding a minigame where you can run your paw over different parts of your body to test them for pain/internal injury would be a welcome addition. Mechanically, maybe tie its success to your intelligence stat or have each "test for a broken bone" cause a bit of muscle damage to discourage you blindly guessing. You'll want to narrow down where you think the bone is broken before ensuring certainty with the test. If there's a lot of things wrong with your expie, you might have to wait a while before you get the specific piece of dialogue that you are waiting to inform yourself with (that goes double if your speech is impaired)

If he does, open the health panel straight away and the offending body part will be shaking. From what i know, only fractured or dislocated bones will cause you pain from movement alone, so if you're feeling pain just by moving around and the shaking limb doesn't give you an option to fix a dislocation, the bone must be broken.I have successfully used the bone welder on unchipped mode with this method before.
