Are there any breeding calculators out there sophisticated enough that you can put in a desired end pal that also has specific pals in its lineage? Palbreed lets you set an end goal and backtrack through possible combos, so I can build something like pic related. But this necessitates that I already somewhat know these options myself. I'm just lucky enough that I want to get double ice spike/meteorain on a Maraith and happened to have bred an Eidrolon+Jolthog for Kitsun condensing and a Kitsun+Mimog for Maraith condensing very recently so I only had to figure out how to get to Eidrolon from Frostallion. If I hadn't known Kitsun as a key figure here I'd have been stuck going down multiple incorrect rabbit holes. There has to be something out there that would let me say "I want to produce a Maraith that at some point had a Frostallion and Eidrolon in the tree".

Unsure if they can walk to a chest in a room with an open door but a "feature" you can use to remove transporting as a work suitability issue is to put the only pal-usable chests in a room pals can't enter. The game by design will simply magically teleport the items to the chest anyway without the pals having to walk there. It isn't a glitch but it is really only intended to help with bases that is a bit too complex for their own good for the Pal's pathfinding. So a bit cheaty if you go out of your way to abuse it but it is a legitimate part of the game in the same way food will never go back in a guild chest.

What I usually do is breed the traits I want to put on pals over to Yakumos. One single passive per Yakumo. Then I prepare two parents that have 2 of the 4 passives I want each. Then I breed those two together until I RNG blesses me with a child that has all 4.Supposedly there is a type of cake later on that increases the chance of children inheriting rare skills. But I don't even bother with it, I just brute force vegetable cakes and Grintail. 1 vegetable cake produces 2 eggs and Grintail has a 75% chance to duplicate those eggs when you pick them up. Eventually I end up getting a child with all the passives I want relatively quickly.I am convinced they made the chance to inherit passives through breeding far more favorable than it used to be in EA. It used to be a really drawn out frustrating experience but in 1.0 breeding has been pleasant.
