I have this extremely pathetic and ridiculous crush on a girl I saw on Instagram years ago. I’m not sure why. I really don’t know much about her personality and she’s not particularly good looking or anything. I somehow fell head over heels in love with her the first time I saw her and it hasn’t stopped. Quickly after stumbling upon her page I discovered we actually live near each other and have at least one mutual acquaintance, so I started fantasizing about us meeting by chance, but this still hasn’t happened. I figured that sooner or later I’d just get bored of her or she’d get a boyfriend which would kill the fantasy, but somehow I’m still obsessed and she seems to still be single. I’ve had multiple relationships in the past few years, but my heart 100% belongs to that girl for some reason. Some time ago the company I work for was supposed to do a project together with the company she works for and I internally screamed, but the deal ended up falling through.
I have no idea what to do about this crush. It’s basically mental illness. I want to reach out to her so bad but I have no idea how to do so without it being creepy and insane. It makes me feel like I have severe undiagnosed mental illness. IRL I’ve had crushes on girls which ended when I did finally go on a date with them only to discover that there was no chemistry at all, but the impossibility of this crush makes it unbearable.
