Pokemon truly lost its soul after Gen 4. How has a franchise been alive for this long and still never managed to properly adapt to and expand its mechanics and world in 3D? They were all in the same "tier", with mew, celebi, and jirachi being in their own seperate turbo mystic tier. You could argue that you probably shouldnt be able to catch stuff like mew, but thats about it.Then Gen 4 comes along and the box legendaries are "lmao I control space" and "lmao I can control time". It fumps the fucking shark so hard. How do you catch these things realistically? Then you have some extra dimensional eldritch horror, which was probably the best of the lot, then you have LITERAL POKEGOD. Its stupid. Its antithetical to mysticism and adventure into the unknown. Big suprise that Pokemon became less about said adventuring and exploration after this point.
