>his brain is so slow at processing visual information he can barely perceive the difference between 30fps and 60fpsWhat's it like for these people, the ones that unironically claim the 30fps GTA footage looked fine or even "smooth"? Is it blissful ignorance in a way to be slowbrained?
I can tell the difference my brain just adjusts after like 20 minutes of playing, my brain fills in the blanks
>>746498035For a console with joysticks, its tolerable ***IF*** its a stable and hard locked 30. The problem is, it almost never is. And again, for the inevitable faggot that reads this, its ***TOLERABLE***, not good. And the visual compromises or pop in or some shittier lighting is not going to be worth the tradeoff for a "60 fps mode" where in reality it drops down to 35 fps back and forth from 60 every 3 seconds anyways.
>>74649823630 fps was the standard because they could reliably do 30 and it looked nice. 60 fps is good if it can be steady, most games shit the bed if they have three characters on screen. Some PS2 games did smooth 60fps and it was noticable. That didnt stop other games from looking good at 30fps.
>>746498518I think 60 fps will become the standard though. The reason I do is because Nvidia and now even AMD are pushing frame generation hard. The problem is that if you try to use it without a base 60 first, the input lag becomes unacceptably shit. So they will announce and promote their "omgawd 4k 240 fps!" generated from a base 60 or whatever. There might be the occasional stupid studio that tries to do it from 30, and they will get properly and rightly roasted for it.
