Well, I’m over 100 hours in and still haven’t finished, but I’m having a great time. My biggest issue is how obviously the game suffers from cut content. Part 1 sets up a ton of story threads that either go nowhere or were probably meant to be continued in the other sublord routes. I wouldn’t even mind that much if the game at least gave you a quick explanation of what happened, but once Part 2 starts, several characters who had multiple cutscenes just completely disappear. It also hurts the roster, since each lord has several retainers or important characters that you barely get to know or use because they join so late, and for some reason most late recruits also come with really underwhelming stats. That’s probably my biggest frustration with the game. There’s so much here that I genuinely love, but you can constantly see the outlines of content that was supposed to be there, and it makes the finished game feel noticeably less complete than it should. On the other hand, I can’t really blame them either, because I don’t think anyone would have wanted to play through Part 1 eight different times, even if every route had unique maps.

I played it non-stop that first week all the way up to last weekend.Then on Sunday just.... stopped. Once they decided to finish this android character premise by adding the idea of her being an apparent reincarnation or revival of a very defeatist woman who got raped and later killed, they eventually realized they had no one on the staff would could properly write such a delicate concept and transition it into what a Fire Emblem MC needs to be. From what we see of Orchel, she isn't dramatically different from Yu Phas, whereas Eshmel is dramatically different from Solel.
