Anyone here use XR glasses? I just ordered the Viture Beast. Almost went with the RayNeo GT Max, but it sounds like the Viture stuff is a bit better. Anyone have experiences to share on this shit? Probably going to be using it with my PC, Steam Deck and chinkheld.

if u have european brow ridge it'll be almost impossible to wear properly, esp if you also get prescription lens attachments. it just does not line up well. the fov isnt amazing, and the sweet spot in the prism of my xreal air 2 pro is pretty limited. i can only wear it where 70% of the screen in the center is sharp, but the outer fridges are basically unreadable. good for movies, maybe okay for games, not good enough for working / reading. ive only really used my ar glasses to watch embarrassing anime movies in private while flying

I ordered it from Amazon, so I'm going to give it a test run and if I don't like it I will send it back.

Porn here I come!

Yeah. They're great for watching porn in bed. Or anything in bed, really. I use them with my laptop, steam deck, phone, thor, etc.

I get the sense nobody understands what they are, they assume they're some kind of gay AI glasses or something. Otherwise I don't know why more people aren't buying them. They're just a giant virtual screen.

You'll probably find they make you slightly dizzy at first, it'll pass as you get used to it. The world isn't supposed to move along with your head so your brain gets a bit fucky-wucky.

If you have neanderthal bone structure it's easy enough to use your laptop video driver's video output crop feature to account for that. You lose some total resolution but it's better than not being able to see parts of the screen.

Also if your glasses have the feature that lets you tilt the arms, you can use that to make them go closer to your eyes. Slightly fucks up the perspective but not too bad.

The newer stuff have this feature where the screen can sort of trail with your head, so it doesn't just perfectly follow you as your head turns. Or you can lock some of them in place so they don't move as you turn your head and you have to look at a specific spot to see the screen.

Yeah I ain't paying 500 bucks for a pair of glasses.
