Will admit it is kinda funny when you think about it because most artist-fags were also bullied but then became bullies when they got a modicum of social clout, which in turn got these jaded sloppa cunts to use AI out of spite and try to bully everyone else.
It's all power dynamics.
>>
>>750059947

Social media art circles talk from one mouth how they have had hard experiences then talk from the other mouth about dramas. Not all of them mind you, but thinking further, this is more of a consequence of social media letting you spew every thought into the void than power dynamics.

the problem is that there's no differentiation

it's got EVERYTHING to do with LOW EFFORT

they're slop that ANYONE can produce

It's a stigma even among the chinese who use it out the ass.

If there's slop it'll be in chapter 195 or thereabouts and the chinese reviews will start going into the deep negatives because they just paid for a scam and suddenly the faggot is out of the qidian rankings and earning 1/10th of what he could be earning. (and quite possibly getting taken off qidian for having pissed off the wrong people who accuse him of plagiarism, however false or true)

Okay, so you're dropping the premise that some autist if doing the math that a one-man team (undisclosed) did a full game in 3 months that would take a team of five people 1 year to make? It is hard enough to come across games as is, I am a paying customer and I do not want the number of "games" being released on Steam to balloon more than it already has. I do not want these AI slop games. No one does. No one in this thread is gonna buy them either. It is just being contrarian for contrarianism's sake.

Ai slop just makes real games stand out more. It’s a non issue.
>>
>>750059947
You can use AI for the coding potentially. It is not something that people can really see or understand.
You can't for art or writing or music. It is instantly identifiable and incredibly off putting to customers. We know that for a fact. Games that look like blatant AI and are forced to label themselves as AI sell way, way worse than games that do.

Example: Capcom apparently has been using AI for back end development and concept art, but humans do everything that faces the customer. Capcom has not disclosed this, however, but people have not rallied against Capcom because people don't really care about code.
>>
>>750067684
No it doesn't lol. They're buried in a sea of slop. The worst part is that half of these blatantly AI games just don't even use the AI tag and no one ever calls them out on it because they have like 1 or 2 reviews and as such no one even cares enough to report them.

This is like saying if you go to the super market and there is real meat and fake meat but there is 10,000,000 aisles of fake meat the real meat will stick out. No it won't, because it is surrounded on all sides by slop to the point that you won't even care enough to try to find it.

There's no way to actually tell anymore which is what makes some of the autists here seethe. Someone could've spent the last 10 years doing a passion project that could've been done in 2 weeks using AI. Now no one knows.
Just look at what happened with even something as simple as the new always sunny show poster. People cried so much that it was AI slop they had to dump their entire 3d models and workflow to prove that it was actually made by hand and took serious time to make rather than just having an AI make something in 40 seconds. Mid tier artists/coders just can't compete anymore, they lost.
>>
>>750068626
Conflating cause and effect. It’s not that the act of using AI one single time somehow spiritually contaminates the project. It’s that the people with care and passion aren’t interested in doing it in the first place. Using AI is a red flag that you are a corner cutter motivated by money above quality. Simple as. And in a world where there are already infinite hours of gameplay competing for my time and attention, I have the luxury of defaulting to 0 hours reserved for anyone with a single red flag.

even if they could steal all the code, they still don't know how to design games. all this information on how games work has been around and explored for decades, and even smart people have trouble cracking the code. ai sloppers whose entire goal is to make money instantly by going
>glork, make game, no mistakes
will never, ever, in a billion years make a good game, because making a good game is completely antithetical to a low iq moron asking the computer to make a good game. the real concern people have is as people get dumber and dumber by the fucking second, none of this matters because as soon as someone figures out the most optimized "press button get dopamine" for as little work or input as possible, and even one of those pops off, it is absolutely curtains, because as the world succumbs to subhuman browning, no one will ever get smarter again. for me, it's less about slop games, and more that humanity is degenerating unnaturally, and it's all been pre-planned a very long time ago.

Second of all, realistically it would probably be very difficult to tell for certain whether a game was vibecoded or just made by a shitty programmer, since the source would not be visible. It would rely on something like the dev saying so, which a smart dev would never ever do.

Basically your wincon here is like the meat packer putting rat meat in the hot dogs, you’re hoping nobody finds out what you did and attributes any ill health effects to something else.

Unit testing is a dogshit way to detect buggy game code. Quick, describe for me an automatic unit test which detects collision holes in environmental geometry. Or an automatic unit test which detects an animation flag getting skipped due to blend weight rules. Or an automatic unit test which determines when a hitbox applies its damage effect twice in the same tick and doubles its effectiveness.

You find bugs in games by playtesting. AI can’t do that. I really don’t give a fuck about its propensity for shitting out endless test suites.

>there is a difference between using AI and generating a function or a new feature then properly bug testing it vs vibeslopping your whole game and then selling the mystery meat database on steam
Not according to everyone, especially not the loudest retards who will whip up the vast majority of milk fed gimps into a morally self-felching frenzy.

I'mma label all your games as AI slop. There is no objective way to prove that I'm lying so you'll just gonna be fucked.

If you don't like it, don't check it.
WTF is wrong with you.

I mentioned no man sky because the hook of the post was the amount of refunds, as the quoted part was that steam wouldn't refund big amounts.
Feel free to kick the goalpost further faggot.

first next fest, eh?
wait until thursday, all the garbage will disappear once the algorithm switches on

You must be illiterate because I already said Steam could lift the refund limit, I was contesting the blacklist and ban argument. And again, this hypothetical is on the insane premise that someone egregiously made a game with AI, never got caught during development, went viral and sold millions, and then somehow got caught after the fact. Which honestly is likely going to happen in the future, but well after you've eaten crow.

pre opus 5.5 werent there like 10k new releases per month?
it was already an unmanageable ocean of slop.
that being said Im really happy I can finally make my own game.

Yeah on Sony consoles they charge you $90 to play on a $1500 console a digital version of a game made with AI.

Trying to rewrite history? People did give a fuck and there was a long drama period over the Star Wars Darth Vader. Kids and content creators didn't care and just kept making money off of AI Darth Vader reactions and eventually the angry people moved on

Surely at some point hosting services will realize that paying to host ever-increasing amounts of slop with no end in sight isn't financially feasible and stop hosting it, right?
>>
>>750071470
can you label good games "good" and bad ones "bad"?
>>
>>750073054
