Whenever I see people talking about which RE game is the worst, this one is somehow never brought up. How did it get memory-holed so hard? So bad that people pushed it out of their minds, or the fact that most RE "fans" haven't played anything made before 2017?

I dont know if I count it. Its a multiplayer only title. I dont consider things like Mercenaries 3D "entries" either.

Id have to give "worse RE" games to Operation Raccoon City and Gaiden. Survivor on PS1 isnt good but its also only 2 hours long and innofensive.

I haven't played ORC since I was a kid, and it's not available on Steam anymore, so I remember literally nothing about it. I might have to look into 360 emulation soon.
