I’ve been experimenting with different buys the past week and I found that building Spellslinger first is more effective than Richochet as it removes your final contingency, reload speed. My buy order is egg->mangum->spellslinger->dispel->richochet. Landing phase is sacrificed unless you have a cracked teammate or comp favored but it doesn’t matter once you approach 30k because the game is yours. The public builds lately are fond of active reload but I think it’s a placebo along with opening rounds. On Wraith you’re rewarded for rushing your 6400s.

Then it's safer just to do high velocity rounds, opening rounds and extra regen. Now you can pick t2 bolt, but t1 just reduces their fire rate but you don't wanna trade hp since you don't have hp, t2 reduces cooldown and that's nice but at this point you're 6k souls deep focusing on an ability that you mostly wanna use in conjunction with assistant which is every 30 seconds, now lane phase is about to be over. But let's say improved spirit and arcane surge, and idk suppressor for fire rate reduction maxxing. Now you're truly a glass cannon but raped by the first 200+ hp burst. Which will happen a lot in lane as it is constant skirmishing. This is around phantom shitlow tho.

The actual nail on the coffin for melee is that Melee resist and Bullet resist BOTH reduce melee damage, so a heavy melee at late game can literally do like 40 damage if the opponent stacked both types of resistances e.g. Point Blank, Bullet Resilience and Rebuttal makes it so you dont even need to parry, since melee hits will deal no damage to you

Sharpshooter is extremely underrated and I think one of the best generic gun build items. Extending your max range is invaluable in midgame+, and being able to do extra damage to people trying to run from you allows you to secure tons of kills. Unless youre playing someone who needs to get very close, most of your gun combat will occur at or beyond 15m range. Prove me wrong.

Watch your own gameplay and pay attention to your engagement ranges, you're most likely outside 15m more often than not because in many situations to get close is to misposition. Of course I'm not going to go full retard and suggest getting Sharpshooter on someone like Haze or Victor, but 15m is not a long range at all, if anything it's medium range.
