In sequels however they just have Date looking like the serial killer with BS handwave of ‘I’m wearing a mask cause everyone recognizes this face more’ however I assume it’s due to both popularity of that appearance/VA and not wanting to spoil the first game in the sequels. He also pretty much seems to be becoming a family man in the end but sequel theyre seemingly not together like they were before. Date acting weird in 1st game is because the killer’s body had a brain issue that Aiba compensated for by artificially providing the necessary chemicals leading to overly horny. No reason for him to still be acting like that in the sequels then

It took me a very long time to play Somnium files 2 because I didn’t want more and figured it’d upset me (it did) and not planning to touch the new one for the foreseeable future. I tend to not want more if I don’t think it’ll be good or if it doesn’t need it, was pleasantly surprised when I finally played V3.
