Saving Close who was brainwashed off screen using the power of friendship that also happened off screen. Really compelling stuff for these girls to do.

Oak reveals that sometimes people get stuck in the digital world and there might be a solution for it. Turns out his daughter, hacker group's leader's waifu, and best friend of the head of cyber digipolice, got trapped in the digital world as well. Hacker group rolls into digi-town to force the gate open, digi cops show up in mass, a peaceful protest is had by all. Turns out the gate to the digital world can be opened by 3 proto-digimon, ryuudamon, loogamon, and dorumon attacking it at the right level. So somehow during the mass battle, all 3 of them end up hitting the gate and forcing it open. Turns out Professor Oak was evil all along, turns on everyone, and is seeking to rule everything and uses dexdorugamon.
