What's the point in grinding ranked, it's not even fun anymore just tiresome.In other competitive games, the actual nuance of the game felt more alive more thrilling. You don't really get that magic in rivals. The gameplay doesn't warrant any respect.Counter-Strike has late round scenarios, it has depth to each round. A 1v3 clutch is still possible, you can still win in the most dire of situations. A force-buy, faking site hits, conditioning patterns, well place utility, and all that tactical depth. This game has no depth, just slop all the way down. I can atleast see valorant and rainbow six siege has some strategy, but when the "strategy" in rivals is to play meta heroes and wait for ultimates it gets old quick. You can't win a 1v3 in this game, you need competent teammates which don't exist.I don't want to grind higher ranks and play only Magneto, Emma, Luna, Loki, Phoenix, Torch, Punisher for 8 hours a day to get eternity/oba. There's no incentive and the gameplay isn't fun at high ranks. I see why there's so many smurfs, a lot of the fun heroes just aren't viable. There's no thought involved in the game, there's just counting cooldowns, positioning, and playing A+tier heroes. Look no further to the amount of ass whining those roles received when they had an exceptionally good character in their respective class. Not banning pre-patched Groot resulted in a loss, pre-patched CnD broke teams, pre-patched Cap was unbelievably annoying, current Luna is Hela disguised as a Strategist, pre-patched Wolverine was by far the most banned character in history, and current Emma (I argue she's the most balanced on this list) is experiencing pitchfork marches from shitters who yearn for more nerfs on her despite not knowing the glaring weaknesses she already. Even Ultron and Mantis got slapped up with nerfs when they were only ever scary in niche comps. I don't mind more from those classes seeing how I play them more often than DPS but shitters start to turn tail and go "AAAIIIIIEEEEE NERFS SARSSS" when those roles obtain characters breaking away from their prescribed stereotypes.
