It's less about how balanced things really are and more about how they vibe.

Gilnesie is very good into t3-t4 if you can't play Godwood Staff or combo Cairn for some reason, and in later turns when you need to stay out of lethal range of egg/loot/face dragon. I also cut one Lily for the 3rd Gilnelise. That said, most decks I've played against are unoptimized, so we'll see.

Norman is the best card in the game. With just a SINGLE 1 drop (that cycles) he undoes all the damage you did with your wincon that you spent your entire game setting up. He outheals, or heals as much as the damage of Sinciro, Azurifrit, Orchis, 4 eggs + Axia, 5 crests + the 4pp amulet + board wipe. Every single play that he outheals, and requires infinitely more set up than he does, also costs the same or more. It's the single most overtuned card in the game. The fact it doesn't require SEVO or 3 earthrite is mind boggling. Why the fuck does he still have full stats on top of the best effects in the game for no set up?

Okay I grinded over 40 wins with Mode Abyss today. The deck is good, it's been downplayed. I've had the effect come on turn 7 before(and saw somehow high roll it on t6 with aggressive evolves in the mirror). All these archetypes being pushed all have the same issue, you either draw the archetype enabler or you get fucked. I think mirror matches for all these new archetypes are going to be miserable and come down to who draws their centerpiece first. Screaming and Loathing is legitimately the best early game card. Going 2nd you can play it on turns 2 3 and 4 to remove almost everything while cycling through your deck. Even playing it on 3 and 4 going first is really fucking good.

Victory card win is faster than expected. I got one on turn 11 just now, the jerry deck is absolutely filled with draw. The real problem though is that your control tools are actually extremely iffy.
