PoE 2 has overdesigned inter-class combos that have no emergent potential for cross-class gameplay.I really love the combat system from PoE2, the limited drops and even the slower speed.But one thing that makes me turn it off every time is the fact that outside of maybe a few exceptions, the skills feel like they have absolutely no potential to be mixed between classes and were hand tailored to work in a very specific way.For example, monk makes use of power charges, but no other class does maybe except for witch on zombies. Nothing on the passive tree either, everything is specifically intended for monk or another class using monk skills only. No other skill will benefit from them outside of like 2 support gems.Another example - remnants. They are intended to be used only on sorceress skills, even though many more classes have elemental powers. And not only that, many skills that consume remnants only consume very specific type. You either learn to follow exactly the same combo the developers designed for you or you will be stuck spamming one skill because nothing will synergize.Compare this to PoE1 where you could pick literally any weapon, use it with spectral throw, spawn minions on hit, elemental ailments, bleeds, turn it into a mine generating machine with detonate, spread curse contagion with arcing effects, you name it.And before you start spamming me with some endgame weapon swapping builds - sure, it is probably possible, but to me the fun in PoE1 was that I could pick anything I want and make it work for some time. Maybe it would turn out to be bad in the long run, but the build was mine from the start. In PoE2 it is reversed, I am forced to run on a slighly expanding treadmill and maybe just maybe make something fun later. That to me is the core problem with this game.

Everything about PoE2 is very self evident why it's a shit show.They never cared about melee, they included one real melee weapon type and even then just made it mage bullshit in actuality.They proceeded to make the entire game about bows and crossbows and every skill and feature was creeped for their benefit. You throw a spear at zillion speed and pop the screen? So why would you ever actually stab with the spear?Then, why would you even do that when you can just use bows? Bows can be used with quivers which also add more stats. Two handed maces suck, so, well now you kinda mandatory have to wield 2 two handed maces just to function, but this is retarded and ruins the entire item archetypes and now everyone just has to do this.They were supposed to tone this shit down for poe2, make melee the focus, give characters good combat and distance coverage and make melee really balanced vs ranged.Instead, they made melee super small distance hits, with accuracy misses, sluggish bad animations that are repetitive and only really hit infront of you vertically for most part, vs bows and mages that can shit out hitscan damage while moving and strafing everything.The entire game is fundamentally bad for any playstyle that isn't just shoot lightning or shoot arrows or whatever. This hurts the game massively as many people who play games have inherit playstyle preferences and PoE2 says fuck you, if you like sword and board, do not play this game. If you like monster hunter style hammer fun, do not play this game. If you like anything other than being a shotgun or an uzi you will not like this game.

I rolled Stormweaver and i'm using whatever spell and man the game just feels so boring, like there's nothing exciting at the end of it. When i play PoE1 i have some theoretical vision of what my build could be, moving fast some kind of gimmick, big area, something like that. In PoE2 it feels like you're just using fireball forever and the few mechanics that have spiralled out of control GGG dems aberrant and kills them. Mechanically the game should feel better, wasd and dodge are good but i enjoy it less
