The rejects don't really follow any military equipment pattern or limitations, so realistically anything they can pick up and use is free game as far as melee weapons go, as we already see most of his weapons are just improvised bullshit as it's difficult to find stuff that won't break on them.
Some anons here thought we were getting an autocannon at one point for ranged with unused models but that just turned out to be the single stubber. Pretty much all of the heavy weapons, heavy bolters, heavy flamer, plasma cannon, lascannon, missile launcher even, but there's no guarantees of them.

It's very likely that the next major update coming somewhere in september-october, will include weapons for all classes and we'll probably get the following:

A lot of people lost interest in DRG because the gameplay loop, while fun, doesn't really have much incentive to come back to it. They also took too long between major updates, and when those did release, they were disappointingly small or not even particularly exciting. Disproportionate to the game's success.

Actually good/fun coop games that aren't just friendslop, are extremely few and far between. L4D is by far the best one, and so old that everyone including every thirdie out there, has played it to death. It also doesn't have too much replay value unless you like playing versus with Russian cheaters.
Fatshark games are the incompetence example up above, but turned up not to 11, but to 12. Those retarded Sw*des are better at repelling money than the average 40k enjoyer is at repelling women. Don't expect anyone to get hyped when these fuckers release their latest, biggest, most successful patch, do so in a broken state, break it further with every haphazard attempt at hotfixing, then LEAVE IT BROKEN AND UNFINISHED as they go on a month long vacation.

I like good coop games, but I've either played them too much and burnt out, or lost interest. Darktide is the only one that still captures my interest, but by Sweden is cursed to make the most retarded decisions imaginable.
Shit, the most relevant upcoming titles are fucking Zoomerlands 4 and EYEtide. One isn't actually a proper coop game, the other is going to be abandoned within months because the only country dumber than Sw*den when it comes to making video games, is Fr*nce.

It's... not really like Darktide. Tide games were heavily inspired by L4D, but they objectively improved upon the formula. L4D is extremely simple to the point of seeming quite casual next to the 'tides. Only the basic building blocks remain, of wanting to progress quickly through a level, cutting and shooting through melee chaff along the way, with dangerous special enemies serving as the real killers and hurdles when trying to do objectives, but L4D doesn't have much mechanical depth or mechanical skill involved (besides aiming good). It's very casual and simple, in a good and approachable way. Yes, this is an oversimplification, there is obviously some sick tech you can do, ESPECIALLY in versus, but you don't get crack ninjas sliding and perfectly weaving around entire hordes, because such mechanics just don't even exist.
Also the overall aesthetic and atmosphere are obviously extremely different, fitting a more cliche "zombie movie" vibe but captured as a video game.

Daemonhosts are almost entirely lifted from L4D, and the solution is shooting them in the brain stem with a shotgun. They're kind of deadlier but more easily taken care of in L4D. Yeah, there are a lot of similarities, but again, the mechanical depth is so vastly different that very little 'tide specific skill actually translates to L4D. You need to WASD your way out of a charger, you can't just dodge it. Think of it as more of a generic shooter.

I just did. I couldn't find any specific behavior that calls ingame_bot_profiles so I don't suspect there is such a function. Interestingly, CTRL+F for "african" has 20 hits, and "caucasian" has 25.
Even more interestingly, since we know that bots can only be veterans, you would expect only veterans to be in here, but such is not the case. There's only veterans AND arbitrators, which hints at arbitrators having been intended to ship as proper bots, and fagshart just leaving it unfinished or scrapping the idea.

Imagine arbitrator or ogryn bots, not only with actual skill trees, but with customized builds to best support their retarded AI. The dog alone is already more useful than some teammates.

This might be one of the rare cases of fatshark intentionally designing something to be clunky in a good way, to promote team play. Using a stimm on your teammate takes a fraction of the time and gets you right back into the action, while your buddy immediately enjoys the effects. It's why I make an effort to use stimms on the teammate that's actually worth a damn whenever the opportunity presents itself. If in doubt, just jam a red or blue into your psyker, they benefit from those the most.

Depends on the server you play on. I've been playing on Turtle lately for Vanilla+ stuff, and I really enjoy it. They've added some really cool stuff to vanilla, including a huge, spooky castle dungeon that's made it into my top 5. Ascension is another good server option if you want something more off the rails. I've played a lot on there too. Both have good pops (although Tel'Abim on Turtle is pretty small despite being the only PVP server at around 1-3k players depending on time of day), and the newest Turtle realm has always had 7-10k people on when I played on it. There's also Warmane which I haven't played on. I hear lots about paid gear, and I don't care that much for any of the expacs, so I've never tried it, but it is one of the other largest servers and does TBC/WOTLK. Ascension, Turtle, and Warmane are the 3 biggest I know of. There's also Project Epoch which also does vanilla+ stuff, but it's newer and has less than Turtle, I think. It's also downloaded through Ascension's launcher after Epoch devs bungled their own server stuff.

There are a handful of guns that handle carapace well making it an unnecessary build restriction when you could just up the weapons carapace DPS a reasonable amount. Of the guns that can handle carapace, the Bolter and revolver aren't terribly effective at it, and on Zealot, those are your only real options.

Depends on your class. Bolter shits on stuff on Vet with a proper build for it, and Vet gets more anti-carapace ranged options anyway so I'm just gonna talk about Zealot.
The Bolter gets a couple before you're confronted with the reload times so long and with such poor mobility that you're generally gonna be better off putting it off for later and finding something to whack, and the revolver is a largely similar case. Not to mention the unnecessarily high ammo tax this imposes on you and how much more time you'll need to spend dicking around with a gun over the course of a match instead of fluidly moving about in melee. It's not a fun experience having to disrupt melee to play at being a Veteran whenever a Crusher shows up. Oh, and melee maelstroms further impose issue on the "just use your gun" argument.

Buffing the Heavy Sword to not be complete and utter piss at killing that one enemy type wouldn't change its damage output significantly or make the weapon OP, so there's no reason not to do it.

The campaign only exists because people have bitched that the story in darktide was hard to follow. (Don't ask me how, I never had issues following it)
Also in general the whole mission terminal update was purely for show, the REAL major update was the arbites DLC which you had to pay 12$ for. Fatshark only change the mission terminal and act like they weren't ripping you off.

Remember Darktide is only getting 4 major free updates this year.
1st update being Fatshark adding in Mortis alongside unfucking ogryn as a class. (Note that if ogryn wasn't fucked as a class we would've only gotten Mortis as the update in March)
2nd update was just Fatshark taking the mission terminal and genuinely making it worse and then making the level "progression" also worse. (With arbites being something you have to pay for if you wanted any new content in the game)

We are 2 updates in, and it is genuinely looking fucking bleak.

During the interview he admitted that they have a meeting with GW and their representatives every week about the shit fatshark is making, which also explains the painfully slow updates.

In havoc what, fucking 20? That thing only functions if you spam the special rounds for additional ammo efficiency, while hoovering up every last small ammo pickup on the entire map. It's "better" at the cleave meme that hardstuckies love to stan the plasma gun for, but that's a useless niche when psyker, grenades and zealot do that better than plasma gun can ever hope to do, none of which are mutually exclusive with any of the guns listed above.

Veteran's job in a party shouldn't be to remove hordes, it should be to pop heads, which plasma gun is explicitly inferior at compared to the other options, if for no other reasons than ammo pickup efficiency and the clunky heat mechanic. If you think that you need horde clear, uncanny frags do it better than you'll ever need, otherwise it's power sword if you're running kraks. Ammo aura is very useful. Shout is nice. But the thing I actually care about and want veterans for is popping heads and blowing up rainbow colored crushers/bulwarks with kraks. Piggers can't do those, and aren't mutually exclusive with vet either. Arbitrator is definitely my preferred 4th, but veteran is much more important to me.

I mean I pretty much just request to join groups that don't already have a zealot. Due to the way it works out this almost always ends up with zealot, psyker, arbitrator, and usually a veteran since it seems like ogryns aren't popular despite being very strong. I'm new to the game so I am just now clearing 40s for the first time with every class and I have yet to attempt a 40 with psyker because I don't play him that much and have only successfully cleared a 40 once each with both zealot and ogryn despite doing it several times with arbitrator and veteran. I have probably failed 10 or more 40s in a row now on my zealot and I'm not sure how I can have such a big loss streak on what is supposedly the easiest class to play.

I don't think generic chorus zealot is the easiest. Health build probably is, because it has so many crutches and rebound mechanics through martyr's purpose, but that's more a case of requiring very little mechanical or positioning skill since it just bails you out of most fuck-ups. It just plays pretty differently and is very counter-intuitive to how zealot normally plays in aurics so much so that hardstuckies eternally tard rage whenever it's brought up, it's comical, or most other classes for that matter.

Could be any combination of bad build, bad luck, bad teammates, being bad at zealot, or zealot just not being the right class for you. If you don't enjoy zealot, or the support playstyle it's actually invited into groups for, you'll probably get impatient and play worse, and that's normal. In which case, just play a different class if you don't enjoy it, or switch to a gigachad stealth build if you're confident enough in your abilities (though expect to get rejected from most groups, only havoc 40 regulars know to appreciate stealth).
If you want to stick with it, I'd recommend hosting lobbies yourself, and getting the inspect from party finder mod. Having experience on other classes should inform you on what's a good or a bad build. If you still eat shit with what you presume to be good players, chances are you're the problem and have some improving to do, but you seem to at least understand what you're supposed to be doing, so I can't automatically assume that.

Brown recon las is the best one, deadshot synergizes extremely well with it, deadshot wants some way of generating stamina, and piss tag generates heaps of it. It's in the perfect spot if you build it correctly.

Braced autogun does that, built into any two of unarmored, flak, infested. Better on arbitrator with stance, so you can have a maximally pants on head retarded build that chews through 30% ammo just to kill a single wave of chaff on what is the strongest melee class in the game. But at least you have an excuse to not bring an anti-sniper weapon even into tardo pubs because the dog actually handles them pretty reliably.

Blue feels a lot better in general, but you just can't beat the damage output of deadshot on the brown. That's mostly for single target exploding heads, but brown does cleave as well as blue, so you CAN use it for hordes, and arguably should just cleave through them to headshot shotgunners etc. behind. That's part of why I avoid the green one. It has incredible ammo efficiency but can't cleave for shit, meaning you'll end up missing easy kills just because there's a moderately dense horde in your face.

Yes, for the most part. Psyker is finicky like that, where what's actually good is heavily dependent on enemy density. Flame staff's secondary fire doesn't actually become all that useful until you reach high-intensity levels of enemy density, so aurics and beyond.
Up to maelstroms, you can run a sort of hybrid build with the middle keystone and play it as a brain burst build, using your staff as a fallback for horde clear, and your melee as a stat stick (knife is great for mobility). Just hope the resident brain burst hating giga autist isn't around because it seems I have to explain every time how brain burst is actually good with EP, you fuckers just refuse to try or acknowledge it
The problem with flame staff is that it deals pitiful amounts of damage until burn actually ramps, and the only way to accelerate that is through crits (double burn stack application), talents to put a small number of stacks on everything, and shriek. The ramp-up is too slow for lower densities, because your retards would rather blow through 20% of their ammo "kill securing" than pulling out their melee, or letting the psyker do his job.

This new mission is one of the most soulful they ever made
It's linearity actually works, instead of like in Bogenhaffen where people just optimized the most efficient path discarding others. Here you still need to beat all those paths, but in whatever order you want and so far my teams just go different ways every time. And each of the 3 paths changes others, unlocking and restricting areas in them

Enabling waterflow will flood other 2 paths. Some places will become non-traversable then. In a path with that 2-part bridge you would be able to normally get to an infinite ammo box if you didn't flood the area. Alternatively you can go around if you got the keys.
Path with a Cog enables elevators on other paths. You can find keys next to a dead dwarf there which will allow you to unlock doors on other 2 paths. Those doors contain resources and barrels. If area is flooded this dead dwarf alongside his keys will be washed ashore in a slightly different place
Last path destroys those wooden walls, unlocking new passages and gives access to resources as well
Additional Troll fights are more rewarding in a fun way than collecting books as well. And also count for Chaos Wastes Menagerie of Slaughter achievement so you can farm those trolls on every class where you still need a grudgemarked troll.
And final Boss is an unique Troll boss fight with new mechanics.

If VT3 missions will be designed like this game will be fantastic.

Fagshart are extremely, insanely retarded.
Ogryn's rework/buff made the class pretty overpowered, and that must have been intentional since they care about havoc.
Arbitrator was also clearly designed with havoc in mind, otherwise it wouldn't be a high performing class there either.
The actual issue is performance in lower difficulties and allowing drooling retards to have enough fun in aurics to completely shit them up. That's also the average player, and their core audience. If they would just nerf all of the toughness regeneration and maybe rework tard stance, this would mostly be fixed.

The ACTUAL PROBLEM with arbitrator is that you have everything between infinite toughness and all of the damage nodes, with excellent math attached to them.

The big reason why smokes are seen as useless (they kind of are), is because they are a in a complete fucking no-man's-land when it comes to the skilltree.
You want survivalist because it's the best god damn aura in the game, free bullets in a shooting game like this will always be too good to pass up.
And then on top of this you have the frag grenades right on top of the survivalist aura as well. Giving vet amazing horde clear ability since the initial explosion + 6 stacks of bleed even without uncanny strike shennanigans practically kills everything besides crushers. And if they don't die instantly the grenade explosion sends everything on their ass making them a non-threat.

Even if smokes function like they do, their position in the skilltree is fucking god awful, but also their opportunity cost in general is horrendeus.

Which gets into havoc meta stuff, and how veteran shouldn't be designated horde clear in the first place when psyker and zealot exist, but that's already several orders of magnitude too complicated for the average copeger so I won't bother explaining.
Frags are definitely fucking amazing and the best vet grenade in aurics for 95% of builds, and smokes are kinda bad a lot of the time, but whether auric or havoc, when I do have a good smoke veteran actually using them correctly, I do feel them being useful. It just requires not being a pussy and actually standing in them. Being near immune to ranged enemies is fucking nice.

I do think smokes and frags should just be swapped in the skill tree. I think that would probably fix their balance problems.

Frags aren't bad, but kraks are generally more useful because you plain don't need more horde clear with the correct team composition, while having an instagib on rainbow colored crushers and bulwarks (or groups of them with good positioning and enough aoe) is something invaluable that no other class can do.
It's not that you can't or shouldn't ever build veteran for horde clear, but the concept of opportunity cost means you're better off with a different class entirely if that's what you're looking for.

I don't think you understand how the smoke grenades work at all judging by your posts. They don't block anyone's line of sight while standing inside the smoke, and unlike a dome shield the smokescreen can't be destroyed by enemies. In Havoc even regular-ass shooters are powerful enough that a dome shield will usually last only a few seconds before being broken, while even a baseline smokescreen will last 15s no matter what. Nevermind if you actually take the buffs you'd take for frags(Grenade Tinkerer, Demo Stockpile, Demo Team) in which case you can realistically have a smokescreen up for almost the entire match(since you have 30s smoke duration, replenish 1 every 60 seconds + Demo Team grenade regen).

In short, when properly utilized, smoke grenades can pretty much invalidate almost every type of ranged enemy in the game, including some of the scab captains. At that point you basically just need an ogryn to deal with melee enemies and you're golden. The smoke grenades are not a "rusty spoon" at all.
