Play in a hardcore server with the rest of the self-fellating faggots.

Seriously, the only thing I'd do with the game as it is right now is make closed weapons the standard, and even then, only to deny faggots who use the spawn beacon to camp on a hill away from everything with a sniper rifle. Everything else is fine or only needs a little bit of tuning. We've already seen Mirak Valley, it's not getting much bigger. Dice will drop some Golmud-sized maps eventually since enough people are bitching, and then adopt some popular expanded player maps from Portal to minimize their new map costs.

Remember guys, the suits want 100 fucking million players. They literally can't make your perfect milsim autism game because that shit ain't fun for most people.

how do you unlock gun attachments efficiently by playing the game?
I can only get like 60-90 kills as infantry in any normal game
but in portal I get like 160+ in a single deathmatch bot round that usually takes less time
and when I check the scoreboard most players don't get more than 70 kills a match so it's really inefficient compared to portal

Who said anything about fixing? Battlefield is a million different things to a million different players. All it needs to remain a class-based, combined arms large player-count sandbox FPS and it's still a Battlefield Game. All the preferences for this or that are either just protecting what (You) specifically like about Battlefield games, or how (You) specifically play them. You FIX battlefield by making sure it's fun for as many people as possible within the frame of what it is. 2042 wasn't fun at its core gameplay and no one stuck around, but now everyone is hype because 6 is reminding people of the fun they had in Battlefield games, and it's not just BF3 and BF4 dads, but BF1 and BFV zoomers. Headshots were pretty weak in the beta unless you had the 2x HS ammo available or were sniping with the bolt action.

BF4 is a 2.13 multiplier for most guns. It was double damage at release but they buffed it when they slightly nerfed the gun damage so headshot damage would stay the same.
I also want higher base headshot damage, but I guess they think that makes the skill ceiling too high. They want 100 million players, and most people are too bad to reliably get headshots. They don't want to make good aim too much of an advantage. So you have to pay extra points to get a not complete worthless headshot multiplier, and then even more to get a decent one. And the decent one is only available on a few guns too. End result is headshots aren't so important, and shitters stay happy.

To be fair, the two shot kill DMRs getting a high heashot multiplier would be pretty broken. Why use a bolt action when you can get one shot kills to the head with a semi auto? Maybe if the range on the OSK was limited to and the RoF was lowered somewhat to compensate.

The EBR not being able to get a 2 shot kill with 2 HEADSHOTS IN A ROW by default was a fucking crime though. Needs a serious headshot buff.

Yeah, it seems like a deliberate choice. Noteworthy that the only guns in the beta that got the 2.1 headshot ammo were the AK, which has base 20 damage so headshots still weren't that strong, and the Ultimax, which is tied for lowest rof in the game so it's not a dps cannon either. AK's lower base damage means it does the same damage on headshots as the M4 if they're both using their best headshot ammo. So it's basically just an M4 that trades rof for easier recoil. Except it's way worse at bodyshots and has less free points for other attachments since its ammo costs more. Seems kinda shit.

you're right. 2042 season 1 scar and season 4 rm68 had insane long range potential that made no sense as well. ARs/carbines should not be able to contest that good at 100m+.

That's the easy part (just pick non-inverted, and don't forget to bind W+S to pitch, A+D to roll and Q+E to yaw), the hard part is deciding between the horizontal mouse axis controlling roll (like in any other game with planes ever) or yaw (so you can actually hit shit). I have over 4k hours in WT and at least several hundred in the Sim mode and I STILL struggle to hit stuff with the guns in BF planes unless I set the horizontal mouse axis to control the yaw, which works but feels fucking weird as hell.

Picrel is one i made on g hub, used it on the 128 player farm and managed to get to like 17.5k resupply score after 4 hours or so, game ended up crashing though as GPU was having a stroke from everyone being in a 20 foot radius firing and throwing boxes down

No amount of tapping can replace a proper analog axis. Using the mouse for yawing instead of keyboard buttons singlehandedly doubled my kills per minute against infantry in the Dragur and the stealth chopper when I tried it out because I could actually fucking aim instead of constantly over- and undershooting the tiny little guys running on the ground while trying to hit them with keyboard tapping.

Using different control schemes for the same things in different games is unnatural and completely fucks up your muscle memory. When I'm flying a plane, no matter the game, thousands of hours of experience dictate that when I press S I should pitch up, when I press Shift I should throttle up, etc.

What does this have to do with sensitivity? You can't properly aim with any keyboard buttons, those are digital controls, they're either on or off. Tapping keys is just a cope replacement for an actual analog axis. If you bind pitch and yaw (instead of the usual pitch and roll, the latter of which is more important in flight sims) to the mouse, you can aim on a 2D plane more or less exactly as you would a gun. If you keep it at pitch and roll, it'll be like running around as an infantry guy and aiming up and down with the mouse but left and right with the keyboard.

I was talking about the specific ability to apply roll and a bit of yaw at once with just one single mouse movement on a single axis, which would let you keep roll on the horizontal mouse axis as in every other game but also properly aim with yaw just enough to consistently and easily hit targets as small as infantry. Only War Thunder lets you do that, so in its absence, replacing roll with yaw is the play, unnatural as it can feel.

It is BF3 and BF BC2 that do not require charging. Just tap a dead ally with the defibs and they are instantly at 100% health, which was kind of overpowered. I think my computer is too powerful for BF5 now. I played it for years on an old pc with dx12 and got good performance, no stutters or anything. Recently upgraded my pc and I'm getting 300+ fps but it stutters when I go over 360+ fps. If I play with dx11 it doesn't stutter but I get half the fps and it's noticeable in the aiming. If it's like other FPS'ers: That's the only "safe" location. To use CoD4 (I know, I know): If the enemy team is covering 5 of 6-7 spawn points, you only have 1-2 "safe" spots to spawn on in the game's "this won't get them fragged in two seconds" logic that the developers code.

THE PROBLEM IS: If that "safe spot" is long-sight lined (a problem in CoD4), you can be outside of the "this isn't a safe spawn" range and see the spawn to where as soon as the player pops-in and their invincibility is turned off (by moving or firing), you can frag them instantly.

You could see this sort of effect in BF6, but it's slightly different as the "safe spawn" is based on zone/areas in BF instead of the entire map like Call of Duty does.

It's why "base rape" was a thing in BF3-4 in Conquest (or other modes if the attacking players fucking sucked) where you could go right up to the "uncap"/enemy base and camp that front-line as soon as all flags were capped because they couldn't spawn in a "safe zone" because there was no "safe zone" outside of the uncap in DICE's spanw logics.

Yesterday's debacle over aircraft controls got me thinking: why AM I treating roll and yaw as mutually exclusive on the horizontal mouse axis? The game lets me bind both to it just fine. So I gave it a try and oh my god it's perfect, literally everything I wanted it to be. I know it might sound stupid, it sure did to me, hence why I dismissed the idea until now, but it really does just work: when you roll, you don't even notice the yaw at all, but when you're lining up a gun run and need to adjust your aim just a bit, the roll doesn't get in the way of the yaw whatsoever. I went from overcorrecting with the keyboard to hitting bullseye after bullseye, it's so effortless to hit infantry now it's insane, and you don't even have to sacrifice the muscle memory of the roll.
