It fucks me in the ass that Bungie could never do something like have dialogue options or several quests that reveal more about a character's background, even if it's not that good. It took them like 8 years to implement allied NPCs that partake in battles with you, and I think it was only in like one specific part of the game. In 10 years you still barely ever see characters do anything at all in the world. The pvpve mode is way better than gambit and the game launched with way more pve modes than destiny had by the time rise of iron released, and it still has more content than destiny 2 in the shadowkeep era. It has a lot of basic features that destiny should have had from the start. I like the focus on earth instead of going to all these other barely colonized planets I don't give a fuck about. I'd been wanting a dark age era destiny game from Bungie for years and some chinese people did it instead in their own gay little universe, and made it a gacha game. We're in the wrong timeline. I wanted Bungie to do this, and not make it a gacha game from china of all places.

It's a decent game so far, actually it's probably pretty good until you hit the gacha wall but I haven't hit that point yet so I can't say for sure. So far, I think it's a good destiny game. It's a mid game on its own, but the fact that it's destiny makes it a good destiny game in my eyes. There's some out of place stuff like the giant mech but I've only seen it once so I can pretend it doesn't exist. The ahamkara is more of a sore thumb to me, since I'm pretty sure humanity would have fucking slaughtered it at that point instead of using it for wishes. I genuinely think you can get a good destiny experience out of it until you have to start paypigging for gear or whatever people pay for in this game.
