>>537524658it's fine, no one's left here anyway
I know we joked the gen is dying bc warhorse confirmed no hansry scene in new DLC. Is that true?I noticed fanarts on twitter didnt get as many as engagment as well now or maybe just confirmation bias on my part
>>537535414They consistently been saying there is no Hans dlc, all they did was say it again
>>537535414It might actually be. Tumblr and the hansry subreddit also appear to have slowed down. And just when the fujos started announcing fanzines too...
>>537536017Then why is the gen dying Come on now! At least hang on for when the dlc actually drops
>>537536060Lol for real Bril just released a fanzine and the reception is quite abysmal relative to the reception she usually got
>>537536136I suppose it's about time for the fujo crowd to move on
>>537535414>>537536017This is true but I think what did it was them saying that there's no plans for romance stuff in any future updates or anything, not just dlc. Plus there haven't been any Tom or Luke streams in a while.
>>537536312https://xcancel.com/agikun/status/1962432576293097489>100 likes, when her art got ~6.5k at the begining...that's really bad>another fanzine that got announced todayhttps://xcancel.com/huibiy/status/1962431383743132040>~250 something likes>and I'm aware of at least one more in the worksyeesh, fujos these days give up on a fandom way too easily. It's barely been 7 months. And I think I might have underestimated the few toxic ones we got since they definitely contributed to everything fizzling out too quickly.>>537538865iirc, they annoounced a new streamily event on the 12th of Sept, and Tom will stream tomorrow
>>537539751It's the younger "toxic" fujos who give up and switch fandoms easily, and honestly it's better that way since the older hag fujos actually make content and don't start retarded drama.
>>537539751>>537540568I also think hansry is a ship solely carried by being canon, it works for grounded TV and shows fandom but for one installment game and which, judged from the fanarts, attracted weebs its not really gonna last long.
>>537540568You're right. But these few ones I'm talking about in particular managed to cause entirely too much structural damage.I'm actually praying for Vavra to put something incredibly offensive in his next game, and hopefully that is KCD3, so they get filtered out right from the start. >Time to ressurect the Erik raping Hans posts until we manifest them into the next game
>>537543001Honestly nowadays i just want corrupted!henry driven to insanity raping hans but i want that tooI heard somewhere they already started on kcd3 so hipefully next game wont take like 7 years
>>537544381>spoilerbased beyond belief
>>537545596Works for the mythical cottagecore au. If not cottagecore henry woukd be hanged the next morning
>>537549874>If not cottagecore henry woukd be hanged the next morningNot if Hans ||still loves him too much to let him hang and keeps quiet about it||
>>537551239My brother in christ, what the fuck are those spoiler tags?
>>537552241wrong is what they are. Which notation works here again? I'm new, I just got here
>>537535414It’s natural, I think. The game is now seven months old and Warhorse has now effectively announced that none of the characters people actually like (Hans, Rosa, Kat, Theresa, Devil’s Pack) are getting new game content in the foreseeable future. People will remain KCD fans and will probably play and enjoy the DLCs well enough, but the anticipatory excitement is gone because there’s nothing immediately exciting to anticipate. Players have been told they’re only getting a bunch of new NPCs they know nothing about, and that doesn’t exactly get the fandom juices flowing.
>>537553484Press control+s around the text you want spoilered, newfriend,
>>537553817inb4 anon is a phonefag
>>537553639This. I'm not giving up on the game but it kinda killed my hype that we're not getting anything new for the main cast.
>>537553817Thank you friend>>537551239Point still stands though. Even for a botched first-ever post
>>537543001>Erik raping Hansgross>>537544381>>537551239>possessive insane Henry kidnapping and raping Hans who still loves himKINOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>537559139Is it even rape when he'd let him do it anyway?
>>537535414>>537538865>>537553639For me it's this + I don't care to interact with the fandom anymore outside of here because of the fujos pushing crackships like Bartosh
>>537560168Bartosh fans are pretty much nonexistent and they’re harmless. Isterik fans, on the other hand…
>>537564273yes but bartoschfags will beat you to death if you try to point out that his romance is completely optional and noncanon even if you romance hans
>>537536416I thought they always stay within their fandoms? Even when the spotlight diminishes?
>>537573802Most of them don't. A large chunk gradually moves out after the show/game/anime is over and the hype dies down so they can hyperfixate on the next thing. A portion may stay and keep it alive for years. The length they keep it alive for and size of that group depends on a lot of things.
https://xcancel.com/isayamai/status/1962503749894910133someone managed to glitch/mod(?) this
>>537582243awesome
>>537577828I see.
>>537559934You dont>>537560168Same i only came here and to redditBut i just cant vibe with the shippers, too many people are reducing henry into hans pet who wont say no and had no other desire while making hans way too capable so henry has like 0 purpose and it rubs me the wrong way
>>537609460>too many people are reducing henry into hans pet who wont say no and had no other desire while making hans way too capable so henry has like 0 purpose and it rubs me the wrong wayThat's what a lot of shippers tend to do when they solely consume fanart and other content that boil them down into these flanderized versions of themselves.
>>537609460Intersting. I rarely see Hans being portrayed as overly capable. If anything, they straight up forget he can even use a sword and only make him an archer. I see a lot of him being written as if he's a neurotic teenage girl as well, but that's par for the course.>>537612471Funny how they always eventually get boiled down to the same boring stereotypes seen pretty much everywhere.
Hans and Rosa bonding is canon according to dev notes. Cute.
>>537621375>I see a lot of him being written as if he's a neurotic teenage girlWell duh, because it's canon? Vavra wrote him like that in 2nd game.
>>537622129Not sure what you mean. By the end of KCD2 he's one of the most emotionally considerate and compassionate people in the series.
Anyone that is legitimately upset at not getting more fan service for romances that arguably already have unprecedented fan service is lost.
>>537622412It's mostly the first part before he gets the rope. Bit even after that he's either a background character or self-centered teenager with claustrophobia and fragile ego. The only time he shows any compassion is when he stands up for you at the wedding brawl.
>>537553639 Bro this is not a visual novel to only care about shipping, the game has dozens of hours of actual gameplay and a dlc with nre features just came out
Id love for kcd3 to go darkerKcd2 was perfect up to "the storm" with henry being tortured and having to escape surveillanceI also wish the betrayal was more high stake.. brabant is a clown compared to von bergowAnd i wish i could delete samuel and his subplot
>>537631970I would like KCD3 to be darker too but I also don't want to go full no stop into misery porn territory.Brabant's betrayal could've been a lot worse, he was left alone with Hans at Maleshov and wormed his way into the group via Hans' trust. And he was working with Erik even before the Italian court so a lot more shit could've happened.
>>537647665Not misery porn just tone wise.... For some reason i genuinely deleted samuel from my memory i just dont register the jewish quarter burning
>>537623193t. didn’t pay attention for the entire game and doesn’t understand the medieval society One of the main reasons why Hans wants his lands back is to provide for Henry and keep him safe for life. When they get attacked at the lake, he risks his life and then nearly dies to save Henry, which is something no normal noble would ever do and they are not supposed to do that, either. Both legally and according to the common wisdom of the time, one Hans is worth a thousand Henrys, yet Hans is probably the only noble in the kingdom who disagrees. Similarly, he’s probably the only noble in the country who sees burned houses of random peasants and people thinks they as the ruling class are failing their job and their people; for other nobles some dead peasants are not even worth thinking about. For a 15th century high noble, his way of thinking isn’t just rare, it’s borderline heretical, fitting in neatly with the brewing social discontent of the lower classes of Bohemia at the time. For the entire series, KCD2 in particular, he’s an outsider in his own class, both in thought and in actions.
>>537621375>Funny how they always eventually get boiled down to the same boring stereotypes seen pretty much everywhere.Yeah, pretty funny and kind of sad. But that's what you get when you treat these characters like dolls you play with.
>you wake up from nap>you see this>what do?

What is your opinion on CUMans?
>>537695690only good for hans rape
>>537695690the sole reason for my high civilians kill count
we're really not going to make it to dlc release huh?
Where do you think the game could be more immersive? I wish I had to sit down at a table and wait for my food
>>537710795I can think of somethi->According to Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, Communications Director at Warhorse, there are no further romance-related additions planned. Not for Hans, not for Rosa, not for Katherine.Nevermind
>>537710795Yeah i wish sitting on a table gives you drinking and eating animations....Mods like camping, cooking, alm giving, tavern chats are excellent. In kcd1 there are excellent disease and poison mods but not ported in kcd2
>>537710795Same issue with KCD1, we have all these NPCs everywhere but you can’t talk to them. Wish we could at least ask about rumors or events that come up as you do stuff in the world like in Oblivion. The radiant conversations are already pretty ok between NPCs but it would be nice to participate in them. I guess they try to make up for it with the random events in towns where you can intervene. They already have the basic framework in hardcore mode where you can ask anyone for directions. If they opened it up to other dialogue maybe it could be modded like in oblivion with user made dialogue.
Wrow
Is reading about how better to kill people in a chapel sacrilege?
Plot twist for KCD3: Henry can't actually read he's just REALLY good at interpreting illustrations.
>>537719439KCD2 already has the biggest game script in existence. I think adding even more NPC convos would make Warhorse devs kill themselves.
>>537621375The funny thing is that he can not only use a sword, but he's also very good with it. Bro masterstrikes trough enemy hordes like a champ.
>>537750240Nah it's not a problem for devs, it's a trivial job that interns could do, just hire more of them. The problem is that all dialogs are voiced. They would need to record a lot of additional voice acting. At least the same amount as they did for random encounters, if not more. It's not a problem for weeb games where most dialogs are accompanied by random coomer moans, but it is a big problem for a fully voiced game.
>>537621375Good point, I never register those who girlified him bc i guess bc its just typical fandom stuff so the other side just feels more highlightedHans combat skill is never the issue its his position, his impulsivity and not thinking twice that puts him in.. disadvantage. Its what i meant to by being too capable, suddenly he gets it together. maybe its confirmation bias since i only like and remember a few things i read and see>>537750380Tbf combat animations are the same for every NPC outside of scripted moments. They could fall in battle, they could be insanely good, hans included
>>537751020This is why warhorse and many other devs support AIAI will take care of those cost ineffective menial tasksAnd its what i dont get people want crazy games with crazy scopes but expect devs to not use AI. Many games arent as profitable as we expect from raw numbers
>>537753003Well whatever, I don't mind random conversation being voiced by AI if it's well done, but what would you do about main character? He wanted Henry to talk to random people after all.
>>537752753Nah, NPCs have various hidden stats. Hans' happen to be very high.
>>537754018At that point AI will be so advanced, all it depends on is whether tom will allow them or not
>>537753003I wouldn’t exactly say it’s a crazy scope if Oblivion could do it in 2006.the few voice lines it has for rumors with limited actors still made all the difference.
>>537751020I hate the random coomer moans so fucking much. I’m playing SMTV right now (SMT3 was one of my favourite games back during the PS2 era), and the otherwise silent NPCs moaning loudly whenever I talk to them is driving me batty. Who the fuck told japs that this is somehow more immersive than simply keeping them non-voiced?
>>537758596Oblivion is an old game, cheaper to makeThe cost for a game has increased but not the audience>>537762253>>537751020What coomer moans are you talking about....... ive played VN/JRPGs before and no clue what its about
>>537763884>The cost for a game has increased but not the audienceKek imagine thinking that
>>537763884I mean he literally named the gamesI'm playing p3 now and it's the same, though I can't say it's loud or distracting, just low effort.
>>537765606Maybe not all games bc gamers do grow in other areas but oblivion sold for 9.5m, we dont know yet how will kcd2 sold for that long but its maybe over 4m now and really slows down after initial 2 weeks milestone for 2m. Imagine increasing cost but it doesnt sell more than 15m for its lifetime. AI will definitely be at play for future games if they want to keep highly detailed and lived in world but not wanting to gamble on it
>>537765768Ok i just wanted example of that sound bc i looked it up and idk what coomer sounds you mean
>>537766690>but oblivion sold for 9.5mIt didn’t. They announced 9 million PLAYERS, which is a number that tells us nothing because the game was free on GamePass. It did well obviously, but we have no idea how well in concrete numbers. It’s like Ubisoft and their “AC Shadows has crossed 5 million players!” and then you learn they’re giving the game away for free on their subscription service.
>>537710795The ability to knock on a door to get NPCs to come out so you can talk to them without having them sperg out.
>>537710795>Fix these evil-looking mofos.I'd have said cathing diseases and infections after walking in the rain or being affected by a bleeding wound in certain circumstances, but antibiotics would not have been invented yet, so no plausible way to save yourself from sepsis
Xitter fujos are currently melting down over this excerpt from an interview with Tobi>Question: Is Hans canonically romantically interested in Henry—regardless of whether the player chooses that path?>Tobi: “Canonical” is always tricky. In the game, Henry is who he is, unless you decide otherwise. Canonically, they’re not together. But if you want that, it can happen— because it’s a role-playing game. That’s totally fine, and we added the option because already in the first game there was lots of fanfiction about it. Our creative director thought, “Why not? It’s fun.” So yes, it’s possible if you want it. You’re responsible for the choices you make.Am I wrong in thinking that he meant to explain "quantum canon" i.e. player choices are not actually canon and wording it poorly or not?
>>537796227No matter what he says, unless he states that Hans is canonically the main love interest, fujos will throw a fit.
>>537796227The official Warhorse stance since day 1 has been that everything is up to the player choice. Prokop Jirsa even made sure to deny Valta’s (composer guy) claim that Henry evolves into a hero — even though evil Henry is clearly retarded non-canon shit — because muh player choice. So Henry being a good heroic figure is officially not canon, even though it blatantly is.
>>537796227>>537798493Some will throw a fit over anything at this point.A couple days ago they were throwing a fit over people being "mysoginistic" and "putting down women" for saying the Hans romance is better due to him actually caring about Henry and not pump 'n dumping him. Though, some of us are actually only half mentally insane, anon.
>>537796227I can’t help but notice that he didn’t actually answer the question of whether Hans is in love with Henry regardless of whether he’s romanced or not.
>>537799739>saying the Hans romance is better due to him actually caring about Henry and not pump 'n dumping himThey ain’t wrong about that.
>>537799932Huh. You're right. So he politik-ed himself out of answering the question by accidently walking into a mine. Interesting.>>537800123>saying the Hans romance is better due to him actually caring about Henry and not pump 'n dumping himWhoever said that is objectively completely correct. Some fujos argued against it because...reasons?
>>537801936Yeah, it’s a classic PR/politician trick: If you’re asked a question you can’t answer, answer a different question nobody asked. Only he fumbled the wording and has a new mess on his plate.
>>537796227these people would never have survived the voltron and captain america incidents from last thread
>>537796227I'm melting down.
>>537796227player choices wouldnt always necessarily be canon if you have a bunch of different choices.
How the fuck has no one modded gold colored spurs?
>>537796227Its a dumb question im a hansry fujo and even then i could tell theresa was meant to be his canonical romance. Kcd2 is just henry being terrible at flings and punished for it thats why none of it worked. Hes just saying canonically henry could have cheated with hans if players want it. Their feelings might be mutual and true but they arent gonna be together i thoight we all agreed it was gonna be like that for first two months but suddenly fujos are delulu
Dead general dead game go woke go broke
>>537799932Cuz it depends in what the players want so its def not canon but fujos dont want that
>>537850394Its funny im saying this but i agreeCompletely retarded the news is just about hans but i figure 4channers are mostly weebs and weebs except fujos dont care about this game
>>537850394Gen died because no new Hans content. Why bother getting hype over random new npcs when we're never seeing /ourboy/ ever again.
That interview doesnt even have as many views if not for a big artist making a big deal out of it... surprised tobi cared that much about whatever discord that is, the interview even came in a word doc like? Im calling sus
