Im playing huntress/spears for the first time and some of the skill decisions baffle me. The huntress tree has a node that gives you elemental damage bursts based on your charges. So electric damage for frenzy charges, okay makes sense. But what about the other two charges? How the fuck is a huntress supposed to get power charges?And then there's the sun Lance skull at the final spear tier. You build up charges for it when you heavy stun an enemy. Huh? Who the fuck is stunning enemies that often with spear skills? I guess maybe if you focus on parrying???It feels like there's barely any synergy between skills except for the electric ones

After playing the Flooded Prison of Act 4, I finally understand why GGG doesn't really listen to this general or most fan on most things. The game being slow isn't that bad in the campaign where you only have to run each map once so I can see why casuals are tolerating it. The real pain is when you get to maps and you have to run these huge maps on your slow as mud character dozens of times. Sure this speed is slow if all you're focusing on is youtube clip bosses but for actual gameplay I don't see myself stomaching this for more than 2 weeks.

I played it through two and a half times when EA was released and even though I would have liked to try other classes I just. Could. Not. Do. It. Again.Last season I did it once (gritting teeth), and got to about level 15 with a second before giving up. This season, my friend and I decided not to even play because neither of us want to slog through it again. We’ll probably try next season, the good reviews on Act IV are promising.In the meantime, I have been playing Diablo IV (among others)for the first time and having a total blast. Both have upsides, both have downsides. I do appreciate that D4s leveling has been much less painful for me, and that I could choose to skip the campaign and just jump into the seasonal content.

1.) Game is too punishing for new players, not in regards of difficulty but in regards to starving the players of necessary resources to facilitate ARPG gameplay. Can't experiment or tweak your build because you're starved skill gems and gold. If you're not just blindly copying a guide online you're setting yourself up for failure as a new player.2.) Infusions suck, you do no damage unless you have the buff. 3.) Combo gameplay is frustrating, why do I have to do an MMORPG DPS rotation in this game just to do half the damage of a LA Deadeye's rod+arrow?4. Mechanically the game is fun, but it isn't a good ARPG. Oh well, see you in 0.4

I liked the promoted vision of meaningful combat and a tough game.But the true vision has become clearer now. The team works on POE2 in a four month rhythm to increase profits. In the meantime, they push for more combo mechanics, more microtransactions and a fluid Korean/Chinese MMO inspired grind fest.The missing balance helps to sell new classes and players are supposed to pick a different meta build every season. The missing endgame makes it pointless to play standard. There is not much choice on the player side.It is fine. I hope the fans love it. But meta builds every 4 months with no endgame is not my kind cup of tea. Moving on to different games.

I need a bit more damage on my tactician, but I am playing mostly phys with permafrost bolts + fragmentation rounds. Frag rounds definitely kill most things in one or two taps (in tier 15 maps), but permafrost bolts just does like 10% too little damage. I guess a 6 link could maybe do it but those are expensive.

I understand GGGAfter playing the Flooded Prison of Act 4, I finally understand why GGG doesn't really listen to this sub or most fan on most things. Just then I had one where I was almost getting one-shot despite stacking as much defensives as I could before this. And the two Abyssal Bosses are tagged with Greater Energy Shield. I can't break their energy shield before I even get a chance to do anything. Even using Boneshatter does fucking nothing. While I'm playing the worst fucking Elden Ring rip off bullshit dodging all around them and still getting my shit pushed in.

Ranged playstyle mechanically just has everything going for it in this game, they intentionally made everything else so abysmally bad and at this point I'm actually thinking its the fault of the animation team becauzse shooting bows while moving is just too powerful, you can't swing melee weapons while still moving you just turn into poe1 when you use them, and all the melee swings are crazy short range your character doesn't really bust in theremelee should literally let you dodge fast around the screen fucking shit up compared to ranged, you should be able to slam a dude, then bolt across the screen and slam another guy, do a 360 thing that fucks everything off around you and then do some backdash smash thing to get out of there but also shit shitthere is zero creativity with this combat there's literally no polish or flair to any of it but bows just win because by metric of them being guns they can just hit shit many times before its even close to being near youLike, compared when you start the game as warrior vs witch, witch literally can cast magic bolts for free no mana cost and kill everything including the miller without getting touched, but warrior you have to literally use mana to swing your freaking hammer and trade and get hit by everythingIt's so hecticly bad its unreal

Having every mace attack be slow like that doesn't exactly work when you need the fast ones to create openings because enemies never run out of stamina they just keep coming and there's no mechanical limits to how many enemies will be attacking you at once.
