Reminder that wuwa does not have elements, forte is the ability to rewrite reality, and they only kinda fit the attribute. Verina "element" is plant, but she is spectro because she absorbs light through them (photosynthesis), and similarly jinhsi is spectro because she manipulates light to project the image of jué but she has been able to manipulate time even before getting the temporal mandate so the just has multiple independent abilities. And some characters don't have any attribute at all in their forte examination report, and it's purely for gameplay purposes.

For example for balancing purposes you need a cooldown for how much application characters can do, which means attacks that have no cooldown (basic attacks) need to be physical, or slow and without AoE splash (catalysts), or they need to not be quickswappable (infusion disappears when switched). The result is that for most character basic attacks are pointless (physical in a reactions game), making it an EQ game, and you can't quickswap apply outside of very controlled comps (like nilou, the most fun character in genshin). Plus if you could apply elements in wuwa-style quickswap, you wouldn't be able to balance it against non quickswap rotation, it would always do twice as much damage (you do 2x damage through quickswap but you lose the 1.5x buff from outro, but with elements you would not only attack more but apply more, making it 3x more damage). And finally, you end up with samey roles, like keqing, cyno, varesa, clorinde all working more or less the same thing in the same comps because the reactions limits the roles because of balance, while in wuwa they can do whatever they want with any comp in terms of gameplay design.

Kuro chose to have characters gameplay not restricted by their label (element/attribute, and weapon as well) , so they can pretty much do whatever they want (outside of the limitations of the 3 buttons + echo + gadget input that they set to use). If that was the correct choice or not or if they will capitalize properly on that, who knows, but saying that any gameplay where elements do nothing are shallow is just weird when most mechanically complex games don't have elements at all.

Is there any point to raising the world level to 90? I don't care about the extra 100 or so astrite you get by cleaning the towers. Overworld 120lvl enemies die fairly quickly too. If I raise the cap I'll just have to spend that much more resources on maxxxxxxing each upcoming char/team...I get that I can always lower the SOL phase but to farm 90lvl tacet fields quickly I'll need a 90lvl team regardless which subsequently bricks lvl 80 overworld encounters. Anyways, help me understand the benefits bwos

Electro in general is not worth it nor is Paralysis as everything shrugs it off, it only lasts two seconds, it takes an eternity for the shots to shoot, the daisy chain lightning does next to no damage, and in general wall spikes or bombs are better to use.You are going to be forced to take hits though, there's no way around it. Sometimes the thing either dies half way through the minefield despite blocking everything off or makes it all the way to the end with no real reason why it happened.

There's no reason why we dont have Aalto or Encore assisting us anytime we encounter anything blackshore or threnodian related. Its quite literally their job afterall.

And most characters lacking flaws (besides working too much or being too shy, something simple showing weakness like lupa appearing drunk after a traumatic experience is rare). Faruzan is one of the rare flawed characters and fun because of it, greedy and manipulative but kind hearted, and legitimately shown her weakness in her hangout. And then some like hu tao took 5 years for that to happen (in a missable event) which almost makes me glad that wuwa does the full character arc in one patch (which they can improve later I hope).

It's probably not as good as Augusta's S2, but honestly, this isn't as much about the power level. I only have a few characters with sequences (S2 SK, S1 Camellya and Cantarella). Not really a fun of them since the game isn't as fun if enemies die too quickly. I honestly view this more akin to oathing in GFL2 or something like that

Echos are also super important too since she has a bunch of HA that if you whiff on the crit, it doesnt do much same with her ult. Also dont forget that to maximize augusta damage, you need her second sword stack which you can only really get by outro to a char, build concerto, then outro back to augusta. This is super important and non negotiable.
