I got my start with Idolmaster through NND memes from the Xbox 360 era, but it was Cinderella Girls that really pulled me in. I couldn't play the original game so I ended up learning the idols names through merchandise releases and doujins. The anime is what really sucked me in and I downloaded Starlight Stage a few months after it launched. The game struggled to run on my old S7 Edge but I hung in there and kept transferring my account to this day.I don't think I'll ever have this kind of attachment to an admittedly predatory gacha game like this again. It was so fun to figure things out without the built in translate phones have now, or campaigning for an unvoiced idol during the Elections.
