I rolled a daily to kill 25 opponents with shotguns/SMGs and couldn't even bother to complete it because the game just didn't spawn enough bugs. Seeing more than five or so across a whole POI is a miracle. It's beyond nerfs at this point, they're just gone. The map feels so lifeless and dead now.

One thing that scares me about having all these cool collabs coming out this season is that Epic is going to get all the wrong signals from it. We've been getting tons of boomer big names added with KOTH, deadmau5, Halo, MMPR, and Gorillaz, with Beavis & Butthead, Daft Punk, Scooby Doo, and Friday the 13th coming down the pipe, but I worry that the bean counters are going to see all those next to some of the worst numbers the game has ever pulled and go "welp, there's no money in pandering to '90s kids and the playercount proves it, time to add more mumblerap and tiktok trends" and that'll be the end of fun old-school collabs. Same with the gameplay to some extent. My friends and I liked the PvPvE angle this season had, but nobody's playing it because the matchmaking and balance just keep getting worse aside from removing medallions, but the bigwigs are going to think nobody likes Helldivers at Home and we'll never get a proper take on a season like this again. It had every opportunity to live up to its name and Epic fucking pissed it away. I hope someone throws Tim's rock collection into a volcano.

You know, a lot of the issues people have with this season could easy be alleviated by making the Wrecker classed as a shotgun so you can't double pump it, reducing its raw damage output and just, like, making other non-shotties viable? Maybe even vault the Sentinel and Twinfire for now so people do literally anything other than bumrush you at mach 5 with a raging desire to scatter your brain across the wall
Honestly the biggest problem with this chapter isn't the weapons added. It's those fucking snowy mountains. Every fucking game ends there or around there. Niggers are always sniping from there. They're always driving towards there. Whenever the mountains aren't in your peripheral vision, you should be asking "where are the mountains". It sucks and I hate it and it's easily the worst part of this chapter.
