What just changed with rune decks this time around? I've seen all the new cards and I don't think any of them changes the deck at all.
Okay, it feels like it's over. I crafted mode abyss, but I somehow lose against mirror (which is 80% of games in my pisslow) 90% of the time, the other 10% is a torture session against haven. Idk what I do wrong, the mirrors just have a perfect curve every time and I either can't find sham or enough mode cards for her. And the worst thing against haven is that I know, that theoretically I can win against it, if they run out of board wipes even once, but they never do. And so I have no vials, no gold and no desire to play this deck.

That might just be a bad matchup because it has top tier early game removal options to fuck over all your chip and if they get 1 Screaming and Loathing your entire early game is fucking gone and if they evolve the 4pp 4/4 afterwards then you probably lost. Dragon can brick pretty easily in the early game so it's not that terrible from the few matches I've played against them but it might be me getting lucky there. If you have any early game into Zirconia, it's basically gg. Even moreso than Mid Sword was.

>>537827294The heal is pretty good just because it's something to do if you're already cleared the rest of the board with the fanfare but want to preemptively cuck the Zirconia play while advancing your Faith counter. 2 3 damage pings as early as turn 4 clears 3 targets, it's not as good as Anne and Grea but clearing 3 targets early on is really good, especially if Abyss goes 2nd and can Screaming and Loathing on turns 2 and 3. That's 2 cards needed to shut down the opponents early game.Personally, I don't really even keep Sham in the mulligan when I'm playing Mode because the castle, Screaming and Loathing, and that dumb 2pp draw/reanimate spell gives the deck a good amount of draw. If I do keep it, it's only against Sword and only if there's no other 2 drop or screaming and loathing in my initial mulligan.

Mode Abyss is good but it's fucking slow for chest grind. You can probably bring it to competitive modes such as weekly lobby and gp and that's about it.
