The Legion Remix changes don't actually address the problem. You don't get stronger, they just made all the content easier and faster. It's still Legion SoD where there's nothing unique about it, you just get straight to one-shotting everything at normal speed like you already do in retail rather than getting to have 200% crit and mastery classes

Now every guild has 2 page log googledoc form application that we will respond in 2-3weeks and wont give you rejection letter oh and if you fill it out wrong (UI did NOT show raid combat it was just a UI in dornogol for example) its an instant rejection. Then if you finally get a trial you get subjected to incredibly long trial periods which can only be facilitated by the fact theres so much power OUTSIDE of raid to gather that you can remain relevant enough they dont even have to drip feed you gear (you would gear trials eventually if you were bringing them on bosses in the past)

I just started playing turtle WoW for the last 3 months (getting a goblin mage to 60 on nord and an orc warrior to 52 on the brand new server). The saddest thing is it holds a mirror of truth up against blizzard and shows you just how little blizz cares about classic. Live gm support, anti-RMT and botting support, most dungeons had 1 to 2 bosses added in new areas that are very lore friendly, quests added to every zone to round out leveling, whole new dungeons, far better class balance, whole new zones (balor might be my favorite classic zone overall now). Blizzard wants you to play retail, classic official has always just been a funnel to get you there and turtle WoW with a small FRACTION of the resources proved that.

Back in the day when you actually needed trials to get items for them to be able to help you progress there was a natural alignment of incentive but nowadays you can just keep them as a trial and give them as little as possible for absurd time periods. I dont raid anymore but my friend kept going and climbed up a few guild ranks. He's still a fucking trial. He joined that guild a week before 11.1.

More content people can do on their own means they will stick around and maybe do more challenging content once they feel they are ready and have proper gear. It's nice having something to do besides just staring at the Group-finder looking for Keys. I really fucking hope they expand on Delves and make them more challenging with better rewards. Allowing people to farm full Champion running Delves should be the first step. No keys needed
