2.1 will fix everything
>>538098810>fixit will probably break space casinos and LDS shuffling:(
>look at factorio mod page>interesting mod>THIS MOD IS NOT FINISHED, NOT BALANCED AND MAY BREAK AT ANY TIME.>mfw.I cannot understand why people release mods in this state. If you release it when saying its fully playable, people will play it. If its not, then its going to get buried at the bottom of the mod listings and unless some raves about it then its going to stay hidden. Perhaps I don't understand the complexities of designing and creating mods in Factorio, but every other modding scene I've been part of doesn't have this issue to this scale.Yes I am complaining about free content, but this is something that just bugs the fuck out of me.
Thank you, gluten engineer.
It's too fucking slow
>>538100687grid issue
>>538100898But I have 300 Megawatts of excess power generation and that's not even including the 129 Jiggywatts of accumulator charge
>>538101038I just wanted to make a joke, sorry anon I dunno how to fix that
>>538101347antimatter fuel and infinite power generation researchfusion isn't bad either.
>>538100687It'd be nice if they added a tech to upgrade this for mid-game.
I can't decide where to goI know I don't have to be close to the neutron star for the single planet with a shitload of grating crystals and unipolar magnets, but the best looking system from a planet and resource perspective only has 1.2 luminosity. There's another system nearby with a 2.2 star but it's not as appealing. Maybe instead of trying to find a perfect system I need to just settle two. One for resource extraction and one for the actual ball
Rubia planet mod was actually pretty good. I recommend it for anybody looking for a new planet to play. It took me about 5 hours to beat it. Be aware that its one of those planet mods that prevents you from dropping cargo and launching rockets until you finish a specific technology. The biggest gimmick of this planet is that you can only build with the wind, meaning you can only place things like inserters and splitters going to the right, and belts/miners cannot face to the left. Also you're being bombarded by asteroids that you need to defend against with bullets (which are trivial to acquire since they are a basic resource, the issue is belting it around). You're scrapping shit to get by, and constantly voiding excess, but its not similar at all to Fulgora. Tech rewards are okay, but the unique resource you can ship to Fulgora to have better holomite production, which is nice. The restrictions on the directions to build stuff was annoying at first and made me wonder how the fuck I can get anything done, especially with the asteroids, but it quickly because second nature to build stuff.
>>538102365I think that is a good course of action, so you can conserve space in the sphere system for em guns, vl silos, receivers (for both power and photon generation), and exchangers. Final production of sails and rockets doesn't take that much space, though.2.2 is quite good.
>>538102962I need to just knuckle down, build the last few bits of my mall and then just do something instead of just plinking away at my ghetto ball. Maybe clear out the planet in the neutron star system and slap a shield around it so I don't have issues with photon miners and T2 smelters. The system has two hives that are fucking huge so I don't know if I can clear those out without some infinite researchesAlso the planet itself has 14 bases on it but I think I can probably deal with those
>>538103952Oh yeah. Now that I have a frame to attach sails to should I nuke my swarm orbits entirely or do they still have some utility?
>>538104128Well, your guns have to launch into some swarm orbit, and the attitude of that orbit is an important factor in when they'll be able to fire.
>>538104262Wait does the sphere siphon sails from the swarm? That kind of looks like what's going on here
>>538098810when is it coming out?
>>538104524yes you will always need to be firing sails
>>538104806No, once they're in the panel, they no longer have a lifespan. They're permanent when they're part of the shell.
Plant trees with Early Agriculture.
Kill trees with grenades
>>538105181Right. I'm just wondering if I should nuke my design and just do a huge accretion disk or if there was still some utility in the meantime
Trying this map again in timberborn
curb stomp a treethrow seedlings in a dumpster
what a lovely grove>>538105262also use Diversitree
>>538102365Build the sphere in any system that has good luminosity and at least 3 planets, giant if you want to play for long. Build the rest of the base in a nearby system with good resources and good number of planets. You don't want the base in the sphere system just so you can conserve space for the mandatory sphere infra (launchers, and energy collectors mostly). Shipping out antimatter and shipping in the sails and parts is the way to go.>>538104524Yes, the sphere absorbs sails from existing solar sail orbits to fill the flat sections. In fact firing into swarm orbits is the only way to attach sails, you can't directly shoot at the sphere.
The fuck is this Dr. Seuss shit>>538107619Ah yeah that makes sense. I was kind of ignoring antimatter because if I kept doing more tech tree shit I'd never leave and I'm actually running out of coal in my home system. I'm also glad you can't "waste" sails though I gather you still sort of can if you fire enough that they can't attach before they expire
>>538107897just waitGet kimberlite, your coal spent on prolif 3 will drop dramatically.
>>538107897Antimatter is good for power too but primarily you need it for science.
>>538087647I just don't like bricks of wasted space
>>538109878Nobody does and if they claim otherwise they're cowards
is steam only consumed by turbines if there's power demand?
>>538110303There's no wasted space there so that's interestingbut it's still a brickwhy even have walls in the middle of the ship
>>538110476Yeah. The only thing that gets burned regardless of demand is nukaler power plants and heat towers because you're making heat instead of a product or power. And now that you can read the temperatures of reactors it's easy to throttle the inserters to avoid wasting fuel>>538110484>why even have walls in the middle of the shipI don't like empty space
>>538110476yes
>>538110476correct, if you make more steam before consuming what you've got it's wasted. Always bank it and make more only when you run out
>>538111076The steam isn't wasted. The heat is.
>>538110674>I don't like empty spaceputting random entities in empty spaces is cheating
>>538111156bears repeating I suppose, thank you
Anyone got any mileage out of the recipe editor mod?Last I heard the dude had planned to actually be able to edit technologies and researches but I think he ignored that for a barebones implementation once that chink just vibe coded his version of the mod
>>538106690Seems to be going well, kept the badtide out and have a makeshift impoundment for goodwater.Really helped to be smart about it.
Oh here we go again boys, its actually amazing, even with the heavy rain this guy manages to pound away>>538116501Interesting map, it seems like a prime location to carve some channels and have quite a lot of fertile land
>>538117085Now we're zooming away, I know its not that fast but I love the way it clunks aroundits hard to drive but damn its so satisfying shifting the gears
Well I made it. I t was fun, going to backtrack to gamble for more max quality stuff so I can take on the Shattered Planet.
you've got two belts of mostly processed iron and some stonebut there's slightly too much processed iron to fit on one belt, how would you split itthis is my solution, looking for something cleaner
>>538122541
>>538122962This is pretty good solution, saves a splitter and couple of belts and makes the whole thing neat and compact.>>538122541You could just add more processed iron so that you get 2 full belts of it.
>>538123128no enough space I can expand vertically though
>>538123296>not enough spaceyou have one belt for processed iron at the top and one for stone at the bottom and filter inserters. Literally going to cost less splitters than whatever you're doing over there too.
oh wait I just noticed>loadersmega gay.
>>538123485then where does the input come from>>538123669loaders aren't better, just different, for example you can't do picrel with loaders
>>538124072>loaders aren't better, just differentshut the fuck up moron
>>538124115cry more faggot
>>538124272I don't know, I'm not the one who literally cannot split a mixed belt without asking for assistance *while* using loaders.
>>538124501>looking for something cleanerI guess an ugly bastard like just doesn't understand aesthetics
>>538124592My brother in christ, your poles are uneven as your lights. You wouldn't know aesthetics if they hit you in the face. This is the kind of shit we beat people on the serb for.
>>538124789>Im gonna beat you thru a computerIm sure you will buddy, just after you stop the power from going out
>No argument>Cheat mods>needs assistance with basic shit>n-no uLiteral child
Is there any way to make the inserters prioritize always grabbing the better quality materials first?
>>538127448Haven't fucked with circuits myself that much, but I think it could be possible to make some setup that outputs a signal of a given quality if it's present on the belt and simultaneously disables lower quality signals coming from other logic components?
>>538127448why if you take out better shit first you'll deadlock on worse shit anyway
>>538128164I'm making a quality farm on fulgora, got quality modules in my scrap miners and a loop of recyclers upcycling everything
>>538128641The idea of legendary scrap will never stop being funny
>>538128641yea, I get that, and?I doesn't matter what you take out first, the production is what it is
https://files.catbox.moe/ql23bs.gifnot sure why, but I kinda like this solution
>>538099858easier to finish it with a bunch of unpaid testers
>>538101038>>538101940In case you didn't know, use proliferator on the fuel/accumulators you're burning. Makes it burn much faster.
>>538102396I'm sure those Krastorio matter converters helped too
>>538105181>>538104128Permanently attached but with lower power production.
What's the difference between Warptorio and Warptorio 2.0? How did SA change things exactly for it?
>>538132227might just be a reskin from the mod
>express belts take 22.5 items per side>meaning 9 assembler 3s making circuits to fill each side>copper wire feeds even numbers of circuit assemblersThis bothers be immensely
>>538140306this is why I don't look at ratiosjust build more of everything until the belt is full
>>538140306I realized I can just have 8 on each side then rotate the last 2 assemblers to cap off the line and split them between each line and I am unbothered now
>>538132227Those are just reskinned to be literal garbage collectors.
