The real issue is that gilbert actually has a lot of target veriety and therefore decisions to make, where as the final boss fight is largely just RNG or making sure you can recover if something bad happens (normally this going a round where someone isn't kneeling because saltzmann can target you with confusion if everyone is already up and in your face. )

If an enemy drops an aoe on your group you can just move away and do whatever you want all in the same turn. The only thing that I will take from Calvard going forward is the burst mechanics and restrictions on scraft spamming.

Those were absurdly rare in Sky and Zero/Ao (I believe that Randy is the only OG SSS member who can delay).Rean's line delay craft also doubles in size for CS2, whereas Flicker remains the same until the 3rd, and Randy's delay craft is a miniscule circle (S).And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
