how do I power through XV, I managed to get to the last chapter of XIII before dropping it but XV is so fucking dull, I even watched the moves + the anime shit to see if it would make me care more about the story and the world but the game is making it real hard

I'm slowly turning into a fanboy.
I'm inclining to accept that most VIIR paddings are good.
I even entertain the idea that X-2 and XIII trilogy are good (even though I'd rather them not making sequels anymore), or that XV's story is perfect with all the DLCs.
So that the only one left is XVI which I dont appreciate having no party, but the story was okay-ish?
Is there even a bad game in this series?

Switch version has HDR10 instead of the scaled up SDR to HDR conversion on PS5/PC, looks like Xbox is using the PS5/PC HDR.

I still don't know why Ever Crisis even exists. Well, I can assume that SE already had a relationship with Applibot and it was easy work for Applibot to repurpose Nier Reincarnation with Final Fantasy VII models, but I don't understand why it isn't a full "1:1" Remake of Final Fantasy VII the way people actually wanted. I'd still like to see that happen. Just rip EC's assets, keep the on-field chibi models and the portraits, rework the combat so it's not autobatle gachaslop but keep the more realistic battle models, and you've got a recipe for a pretty decent and relatively low effort "cashgrab" release of what the VII fans actually wanted.
