Is battle vest better than opening rounds? I've been doing autism DPS tests with all the various DPS buffing items in the game. I've completed the tier 2 items and on paper, Opening rounds gives the highest DPS bump. But here's the catch, I then calculated your DPS when the enemy is above 50% vs the DPS of when the enemy is below 50% then averaged them together. It turns out your total DPS would actually be equal to that of the stats provided by battle vest. You have the exact same time to kill vs a 1k health target as battle vest straight up. I've had my suspicions about this item being good but this definitely helps the case. That being said, there's still a lot of chaotic variables to factor in. You drop their health to 50% faster which allows them to be more quickly killed by teammates. If your M1 character has any damaging abilities (i.e. wraith cards, infernus napalm, holliday barrel) you can use these AFTER their health gets below 50 to kill them faster and mitigate the DPS loss of opening rounds. There is also obviously the fear factor of you being able to drop their health faster than they can drop theirs, making the opponent potentially start running away. Very interesting stuff imo

It’s a little outdated as I don’t think escalating mag is good with him anymore, Buy infernal as your first ability in lane, buy better regen or restorative shot (Or both) as sustainability for lane, close quarters , headshot booster, back stabber for better damage early on. Make sure at some point to buy kinetic dash as abrams reloading normally is fucking abysmal time wise and it buffs your fire rate when you dash jump. Early on in shitlow it’s okay just to ground 2s but at some point you’ll want to start doing dash jump 2s as people can double jump over your charge and you’ll feel retarded for missing. Combat wise you want to get in peoples faces with dash jump 2 into 1 melee shoot,light melee,shoot, light melee, shoot, shoot and hopefully during this they’ll panic parry while your shooting when they do mag dump their head and heavy melee after the parry animation ends, bonus points for popping cold front or having headshot booster/headhunter during this. Heavy melees are very good damage wise but are telegraphed as hell and have a sound Que so only use them when you know you can’t get punished. Don’t be a retarded melee ape and most importantly have fun. obviously there’s more items to buy but I’m too lazy to keep spoonfeeding so just look up salty abrams on the build browser and fine tune it to your liking
