Doable pubbie difficulty for the diggers seems to be D8. It's not a D10 fuckfest but it's not a D6 snooze. Pubbies are retards so you have to be able to handle yourself and solo the hordes if need-be. Easier said than done, but my tryhard load out has been >Heavy Dune armor>Plasma Punisher>Ultimatum>Frag Grenades>Quasar>Gun Dog>Emancipator>Eagle strafe if outside mission, EAT Napalm if inside missionGun Dog + PP let's you simultaneously surface and kill diggers at the same time. Frag Grenades eat condensed groups of bugs alive so you can easily get 10+ kills per frag in a cave of concentrated bugs. 5 nades also helps in hole closing duty. Queso is good enough to handle chargers and the occasional titan while also maybe getting lucky on the bile dragons. If it's an outside mission I may forego the gun dog and bring a RR because there's going to be a bajillion dragons. Emancipator is a panic button/cave objective solver, and Eagle Strafe is just too good out in the open, while disposable napalm is probably the best option to cut off a tunnel from chaff overrunning you. Keep spamming PP for diggers and you have a contained swarm.Diggers have forced me to become a metafag.

Osha is just a different type of mission. It's about chaos mitigation and movement. Shitter squads get pinned or start getting farmer by endless dragon roaches because they get tunnel vision. It's not specifically hard it's just the enemy is the horde itself instead of some isolated enemies

The catch is that those kinds of loadouts make you dead meat while cavediving, and conversely efficient cavediving loadouts are effectively incapable of killing the hive lord. So it's kind of a tradeoff. The best strat for cavemaxxing Helldiver squads is for all 4 players to bumrush the hive lord and dump an entire supply pack each worth of thermites and ultimatums into him every time he pops up. Because your support weapons and stratagems probably won't be well suited for it.
Committing yourself to a lost battle is poor tactics, do not let the snow jew distract you from planets that can actually be liberated. Never commit to a battle that you do not know will be decisive.

It's because generally armor piercers lose raw damage but raw damage weapons need positioning including distance. Punisher vs slugger is the most basic example. Punisher can one tap diggers but only if you aim left into their shoulder otherwise it does nothing

The increased timer doesnt matter really.The last strategem can be a rocket sentry to help deal with roaches and various bugs that come out, AA suit to help blast the worm or a solo silo if you are going to spread out from each other to have less bugs spawn around you to help deal damage against the worm or roach.
I get the reasoning behind the engine not letting you jump but the vault really needs to be a lot better. Fox engine let you climb stuff, this should too.

Remember this is not fromslop so dive after firebreath to activate both the resist from a dive and the extinguish effect at the same time, and not before (this also works on explosives i believe)while youre actually in prone enemy melee attacks go through your armor more successfully, armor doesnt seem to be flat damage reduction alone, it's actually similar to enemy armor system and direct bug hits can sometimes be fully resisted (you will hear a light armor hit sound and take no damage) but never while you're prone, which is a noob trap but dive spamming works sometimes anyway just to get distanceIf you wear light armor you will get fucked by bugs if they catch you, diggers sprouting on you can almost one shot you but in heavy armor while standing you can mostly take 0 damage unless they rake you point blank
