achievements/feats of strength + rewards like mounts from them shouldn't come back, those exist for the purpose of celebrating the fact you beat a raid when it was the latest content or something temporal like that. as long as it was real effort and something explainable for being a one of a time thing is fine, it took actual effort to obtain during a single patch. makes people want to try hard to play the game for the promise of one of a kind showoff rewards.transmogs/mounts/pets from an event that happened once or a normal piece of content from an expansion should make a return. the dark spear/gnomeregan event from pre cataclysm wasn't a challenge but just a social event that set up something for cata. it was easy as shit since you had tons of people there killing stuff with you, zero challenge. the only thing that shouldnt come back from that is an acheivement for doing it at that time as a participation trophy. when that ended it should have allowed people who joined after to get the toy in some way. same goes for challenge mode sets and mage tower appearances. neither scaled properly near the end or were seen as major feats like beating a raid not he hardest difficulty before it became outdated or getting a a high rank in a mode during a past season. both were just side content you could play through that had some rewards as an incentive for trying it out, removing the rewards from that after there expansion would be like removing delve rewards after TWW or disabling the BFA island stuff or removing garrison unlocks for WOD. it wasn't a competition, a hard accomplishment, or a specifically designed seasonal thing, it was just normal content that was made unobtainable.also defending blizzard for removing shit just tells people you value participation rewards as some sort of very special medal and you care way too much about it by defending blizz's jewish practices. either you want stuff that looks cool to you or you don't care
