It has artificially reduced HE filler on the HE shell so it doesn’t decimate all infantry in a 50m radius. As a result it’s about as effective as the 88mm HE but with twice the reload time.As for the grind time, with premium it’s probably like 100 matches to unlock the IS-2 ‘44. As far as premium squads, the M3 Halftrack is good. Guerrillas are good too. In-game for gold, the paratroopers are good since you can fit them into any BR. I like the medics and the premium Yak is a satisfying tank popper if you like planes. The Fedorov MG is strong too. Premium squads with scoped semis like the radio and sniper squads I find work well for me.
