There's the whole banishing Shikigami aspect too which delays the dclimb to give Haven more time, occasionally Haven draws so well they can kill Rune on turn 9. It's a Haven favored matchup if both players are good and have decent draws. Rune doesn't play enough followers to mitigate the damage or pressure Haven but Rune needs to remove all of Haven's followers or it risks the Jeanne blowouts and a lot of times the Sagelights need to be played for healing if Haven draws well. Rune has it better than a lot of decks vs Haven because it CAN OHKO them and win but Haven is such a fundamentally broken deck that it doesn't matter. When Rune was oppressive you could play Roach and win 9 times out of 10, against Haven there's no hard counter deck. Haven can grind out Ho-chan, Satan decks, and whatever else while also dealing 5 damage every turn and setting a clock.
