Crest haven is balanced around the idea that crests will run out and need to be refreshed. They just forgot that they will easily always have 3 permanent crests

Crest is fucked the exact same way rune is fucked. Both have a win condition that requires them to spend the game investing towards it and you're working hard towards that big gamechanging moment. But in reality the investment is non existant so the big game changer happens 99% of the time
