I can’t overstate how destructive Renegades is to the franchise. I’m probably being autistic, but them making a crossover expansion with Star Wars (or any other IP) is genuinely unforgivable and is more than anything the reason I’ve uninstalled and stopped caring about the game. To quote Plinkett: “The problem with [Destiny 2: Renegades] is that it’ll be around. Forever. It can never be undone.”From now on there will always be lightsabers and AT-STs in Destiny. There will be storm trooper rifles and Han Solo’s blaster. This is different from other cosmetic crossover slop because it’s being acknowledged in-canon. So something capable of deployment alongside standard troops that is able to provide heavier weapons in a more mobile package makes a LOT of sense, because high explosives are the best weapon they have against both the hive and the guardians. The only problem here is that the walker is still way more frail than anything else and something airborne would do signifcantly better in the same role, like a heavy shank.

Man, I am glad Destiny Rising lets you customize the UI pretty freely but holy fuck, why can I not completely hide the on-screen control prompts when I am using the controller UI? All I can do is set them to 0% opacity, which is not actually 0% because you can still see them. Also, how the FUCK do I get rid of or disable the gigantic fucking quest panel? Is it just going to be there all the time in fully expanded form? All I can do is swap it between quests and unread messages, but it takes up like a fifth of my screen.
