Seems like I just get objectively stronger: -14 MND and -5 INT for: +24 STR +3 VIG +3 MND and +14 FTH. Seems like I'm paying 19 points to get well over 35 points in return. Net gain seems real. Especially when you consider how I'll perform well with -ANY- drop. Especially when you consider the 11 MND I lost can be countered by my FP on Rise relic EZ.

what are the general rules and best practices for depths mode you try to follow?>stay together, everything has so much HP you really need to abuse aggro mechanics to maximize dps and clear more of the map>dont do reds early unless its a pushover boss or you have their weakness ready, they are a time sink and getting a fast start is more important>gaols are a gamble, lots of basic gaol bosses are huge time sinks if they come out red.>relying on gaol keys is also a gamble, more POIs are invader camps, and make it harder to get keys at all.>invader camps are not worth the trouble, the ratio of loot/time is not good. just treat them as blackholes on the map and avoid them>choice of negative passives are more important than the positive ones, losing 7% damage for being at 99% hp is really not good.>you can drop items at any time to disable bad passives, if a mid-night fight goes bad and drags on you should drop your item with rot/poison buildup passive.>dying just outside of the mid-night boss arena is usually a good thing, you get to respawn with full flasks/hp and your runes are safe, just make sure someone else is still alive when you do it.>talismans are harder to come by, you'll spend more time on the map killing bosses rather than roving around and spotting beetles. Make sure to check the basements with false floors in ruins for a higher chance to get talismans, this is double true for Nokleteo.

I put it on and it gave me +100 HP which is good, but it took away 55 FP which I really did not like. I suppose since I'm FP maxing it could be offset pretty easily, but then I'm not sure it will scale as well. I'm sure the extra 100 HP is worth it, but the church one gives you some HP without any negatives. I'll have to do more testing.

Well that's retarded. I just had an excellent run that was completely stomped by Caligo. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Everdark Caligo because he didn't do any different moves, but he was doing his attacks twice as fast and twice as often as regular Caligo so maybe I don't know the difference. Is that how Depths is supposed to be harder, by outright cheating? I'm only at Depths 2 and it was absurd.
