HOL paladin might just be leaning on the 4 set
It eats the same charges and provides a different but still highly defensive benefit. He's gonna be casting HoL like 2.5 times for each cycle of the Truthguard CD. so like every ~ 18 seconds and that alone could account for 30% of the SotR gaps.

I play prot but not seriously, I am a melvin, but I noticed that in T11s it was nearly always better to spend 3 HP on Hammer than on Shield, cus the hammer heals for a ton and that led to the shield buff falling off somewhat often.

Turns out no and I'm now tanking on my dh alt for people instead of getting gear on my main. This was also when 10s were hard enough that you couldn't open lfg and realistically see many of them.

Generally you just run it through with the most competent melee DPS descending, it generally is just about them picking up the habit and being okay with bricking their first key, generally they will perform better than a t*nk player anyway. That was my point. TDM with 1 match is basically not a game mode in any other game (CS you have 15 rounds and probably esports has sets as well). While I think the way blitz kinda plays out isn't the greatest I do think that the format is easier to get into and understand than arena. Yea as a decades long pvper BG blitz is by FAR the simply way into rated pvp.

The caveat is that team makeup basically determines your fate and if RNG puts you on the worse team there is almost nothing you can do about it, sometimes. BG blitz is in many ways simple and easier than random bgs cus youve only ogtta keep track of 8 enemies and theres always 2 healers to look out for every match and always 2 healers on your team. If you have the patience to wait out the long ques and the tolerance for losing rating to rng and regrinding you are basically assured your elite set eventually.

After doing 500 bountiful delves I have to say, delves are kinda shit. Its position in the gear system is good (basically it's there for you to skip +0-5 keys which are full of literally retards), it just doesn't feel particularly exciting doing a +11 and you pull 1 mob at a time because you will melt to any more without CDs, and has bosses with semi-mandatory kicks (like the one in under keep) that have a shorter CD than 30s so priest and boomy can't kick it and neither can healers.

What id like to see from delves in midnight is if we could get torghast powers and add more novelty to the run. Maybe an option to chain delves together into one longer torghast style run. Also would like to see the removal of bountiful keys, right now they halved the keys you get from non-pinnacle caches and it feels kinda bad. I would also like to see veteran 1/8 gear move up on the melvin pass to the mid way point.

That’s the trick for delves once you have 4-7+ sluts filled with champ gear it’s probably more efficient to just run bountifuls without a key. It’s still a good idea to run bountiful delves if you need a map for the week but they really only give mats valor stones and champ gear with keys. If you play multiple alts it’s a major time saver to not bother farming keys after a certain point.

Yeah but that's still talking about gear. I'm more saying the gameplay that goes into it could improve a lot. Overcharged delves felt more fun because players felt more powerful, I think there should be a definite shift away from stat-checking characters (I'm 715 and I feel like mobs can still cave my head in) to feeling like a main character. I would also like if the longer delves didn't exist (the new one+excavation point with the drillers are both super bad).

I have an idea for solo content like delves where it's a race with bronze dragonflight where you are turboing through sections of old dungeons and raids (similar to that quest in df where we went to nyalotha), and maybe blasting a few mobs while running at mach 10(in a randomized fashion maybe) and maybe you can get more currency rewards if you do it faster and rewards champ track.

To expand on this so I'm doing more than shitposting...

Raids require a bit more mechanics knowledge in that you will die if you fuck up a swap or something, so you should probably stay away from those just starting out.

+2s require you to know your class in a bare minimum way that heroics don't require so they're a good stomping ground when you're still learning. You can get away with not knowing mechanics and routes as long as you know the class enough. Learning the routes will speed things up for you dramatically but it's not required.

Vengeance was kind of broken in some ways but you had to be a primary target to accumulate stacks, so you couldn't just fill your raid with tanks. That said, I regularly led in damage and my guild's dps would get very steamed when I would point this out.

The best way in battlegrounds rated or unrated to determine if you are playing on a shitter team that you are carrying, is if everyone on the other team has all their defensive cooldowns and immunities ready when you get them to low health. Paladins bubbling hunters turtle spell reflect mist cocoon etc it means your team is fucking awful and you are the first person to bring them to low health in several minutes.
