A lot of people will just end on like SP+Creation+Horned Dragon(I think some are cutting this now)+Combined Creation+Bone Party+Memento Fusion. URs are the real focus of everything.Crafting should be done to finish off decks. The more cards you need from a pack, the better it is to use gems on that pack, because that means it has a higher chance of giving you URs you need. But once you're down to only needing a couple different URs in that selection pack you should probably craft because the odds of getting one of them is now too low. Using gems more efficiently means you need to craft fewer cards and will have more crafting points for what you do need. Don't be the guy who says "oh there's a 3x UR I need in this selection pack so I should spend gems". If you can, you should craft them because it's very unlikely you'll pull that one singular card and the gems should be saved for packs that have higher odds.You should also not be a hoarder and should be willing to dismantle URs you are sure you'll never need.As a new player it's rougher because a lot of staple cards are craft-only, but once you have your 2x Maxx C, 3x Ash, 2x Called by, etc then it becomes a lot easier because you have those for every deck you make.

But the second Magical Meltdown forced it out, allowing me to use Maximus to get the necessary cards to summon Alba Zoa and delete his extra deck. With two cards in hand my opponent surrendered. It was a good game.

You send it off Ext and attach it to Detonader in case it gets outed so you can re-summon it and give it two more materials. There's more advanced stuff you can do with it but that's the main idea.

Reminder that the OCG often hosts bo1 tournaments as it's how the game was designed to be played and makes for a more enjoyable casual experience.This obsession with needing to have bo3 comes from TCG tryhards who treat this game like a career or sport where you must win at all costs. It does not in-fact make the game more fun. It just increases the odds of you getting sacked by a silver bullet that was sided in games 2 & 3.Learning to navigate bo1 is actually more skillful as it encourages a more careful risk-reward factor in regard to deck building.

To be honest I wanna feel powerful and win a lot and build the latest meta, but I also see people saying that you should build a deck thats fun to play thats still competitive. Are most people here like the former or the latter, and how many people here spend real money on this game? How many gems on average do you need to build a meta deck? But they're an extremely cheap way to get the cards so you buy 2-3 copies of the deck to get 3 copies of all the good cards then replace all the bad ones. Not all structure decks are equal though. Early ones like the pend mage or spellbook ones don't give you close to a full deck, then like the Gaia or Dark Magician ones do give you the full deck but are terrible decks anyway, or like the Salamangreat one is kinda good but it got new cards since that released that you'd really want anyway so you'd still need to dedicate more gems to it.The decent to pretty good ones that don't need a ton of additional cards would be like, Raid Raptor, Ninjas, Blackwings, Red Dragon Archfiend, Cyberdark, and maybe Dragonmaids. Dragonmaids will be one of the best ones when their missing cards very likely release in a couple weeks.

I like ninjas. But that's a whole 'nother thing, where you just have to play a bunch of different decks to figure out what style of deck you like playing.
