The main campaign lacked cohesion and was too wordy for its own good with drama that didn't help introduce slowly the world that gfl1 left.If the main campaign was more akin to a "base builder" slowly arming up the Elmo while the Commander and co. were a rag tag of hit men it would have made more sense and slowly made the player felt attachment for their effort, instead it's a rapid fire of small stages and long cutscenes that only confuses you further if you are completely new to the franchise. Text speed also, they still haven't fixed that.
